⭐ Terrible Experience — Paid $500 and the Problem Was Never Fixed! I would absolutely NOT recommend Pat Murphy Electric out of Atlanta, GA, based on our experience. At the end of July/early August, we paid them $500 to fix an electrical problem involving no power in our master bedroom or master bathroom. We were told the problem had been fixed, but it was NOT. We are still dealing with the same unresolved issue after paying them $500 for a repair that did not solve the problem. When we contacted them expecting them to stand behind their work and make things right, we were told they would not come back out because the issue was supposedly not covered under warranty. Let that sink in: We paid $500, the original problem was never fixed, and now they refuse to take responsibility. The worst part of this entire experience was dealing with Carlos, the service manager. His attitude was incredibly rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Rather than trying to resolve the issue or work with us, he made it clear that they would not help us. He even told us that if we wanted them to come back out, it would cost $350 just to knock on our door. Those were his exact words! How is this acceptable customer service? We paid $500 to have our electrical problem fixed, were told it was fixed, and still have no power in our master bedroom and master bathroom. Now, instead of taking responsibility for an unsuccessful repair, they want to charge us another $350 just to come back out. Based on our experience, it feels like once Pat Murphy Electric has your money, they no longer care about you or whether your problem has actually been resolved. The way Carlos spoke to us only made an already frustrating situation worse. We hired this company expecting professional service, competent repairs, and accountability. Instead, we got an unresolved electrical problem, $500 out of pocket, a refusal to help, and incredibly rude treatment from the service manager. Think twice before hiring Pat Murphy Electric. Our experience has been extremely disappointing, and I would not want another customer to go through the same frustration. If you expect a company to stand behind its work and treat you with respect, our experience suggests you may want to look elsewhere..

Jennifer, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, we take your complaints very seriously. I did take the time to listen to all of the calls and I'm sorry you did not have a good experience with our team, you should have been refunded immediately after speaking with Carlos. My understanding it was not your home and that you were not our customer. We did work for your daughter in which we let the customer know that the issue (to your point) was not resolved which our technician let them know, because the customer chose not to pay to resolve the issue in entirety. I'm sorry we were not the right electrician for your daughter and we wish you all the best in the future, the 479 has been refunded in full.

Scott and Ivan were excellent. They were professional and did a great job with the install of our EV charger. Scott called me about 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment to let me know he was on the way and arrived on time. He and Ivan listened to all our concerns and ideas and gave us specific quotes for our different project. We ended up only choosing to get the EV charger installed and it was a smooth and efficient process. Scott also patiently answered all my questions. On top of all this, they were warm and friendly towards us and our little dog, which made the whole experience even better. I highly recommend them for your next electrical project.

Early Sunday morning, I lowered my thermostat from 73 to 71 degrees, and suddenly my entire home lost electricity! I contacted Pat Murphy Electric for emergency service and received an immediate response. Within minutes, a gentleman I believe was named Dan returned my call. After explaining my situation, he informed me that an emergency Sunday visit would cost $350. However, rather than simply scheduling an appointment and collecting the fee, he took the time to offer helpful troubleshooting suggestions. He recommended contacting Georgia Power for a load test and locating and resetting my main breaker. What impressed me even more was that Dan followed up about 30 minutes later to check on my situation! He also explained how to reach a live Georgia Power representative when I kept getting automated responses. After following his advice and locating my main breaker, my electricity was restored! Pat Murphy Electric could have easily charged me $350 or more, but instead, Dan genuinely wanted to help resolve my problem. That speaks volumes about this company's honesty, integrity, and commitment to customer service. I've since scheduled an appointment to have the underlying electrical issue investigated. This company has earned my trust and future business. Thank you, Mr. Dan and Pat Murphy Electric, for going above and beyond. Five stars aren't enough!

Excellent experience from beginning to end. The receptionist was able to send a technician out the same day. They did some troubleshooting, found the problem & resolved the issue with a circuit quickly. I also decided to get a new electrical panel due to a couple of loose breakers. The panel was scheduled within a week which was fine with me as it wasn’t an emergency. Everything was done quickly & efficiently. They answered all my questions & explained everything thoroughly. They did a fantastic job. Thank you Scott, Ivan & Neitan!

The job was done (installing a new lantern in a pre-existing wired spot) plus replacing 3 canned lights. But I felt totally ripped off when I was given the price of services; I went forward because I wanted my new light fixture installed that day but it really bothered me. It’s very hard to shock me with prices, but I was shocked. Be forewarned that there’s a bit of a bait and switch; they won’t give you a price via phone; when they arrive and begin they will quote a large number and act like it’s totally normal. One of the men even tried to charge more for him mis-measuring the canned light space and having to return to the store for a different size. I put my foot down and said I was already paying WAY too much and I’m not paying for that too. The lantern was installed; the new canned lights were also replaced but were so bright blue and I asked him how to make them warmer? He didn’t tell me that you can change the warmth on the actual light, I had another reliable handyman who fixed that for me. All in all, the job was done but I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. I was looking for an electrician I could call for everything around the house, and I’ll never call here again.

Virginia, we're having a hard time finding you in our system and identifying which work ticket this was. We're trying to figure out where we went wrong here, so if you have a moment and could call the office and ask for Chelsea , it would mean the world to us so we can make sure this doesn't happen again. We don't charge anything additional when our technician has to go to a supply house, hence us being a flat rate company (and not charging time & Material) so I'd love the opportunity to learn more about your experience.
