I had a great experience working with Chris and his team at Pleasant Surroundings. They removed an old gravel path, dug out a grass area, installed a new stepping stone path, and prepped new garden beds with soil and mulch. Chris was easy to work with — very communicative and collaborative. He was patient when I was on the fence about what type of path I wanted — he brought me different samples, went to multiple stores to look for alternatives I might like, and when I ultimately decided on natural stepping stone, he hunted down a pallet with the perfect sized stones and met me at the quarry to make sure I was happy with it. He was also very quick to respond to questions, texts, and calls throughout the entire process. His crew was friendly, efficient, and hard-working, and Chris was always on-site. The project turned out exactly how I hoped, and I’d be happy to hire Pleasant Surroundings again.

The owner, Chris no showed followed by no communication before even starting any potential work. I have still not heard back. I decided to move on based on the lack of communication. I would not recommend this company.
Yes I moved on, I gave this man with a family a great price then adjusted my price 3 times for him (which was fine) He was laid off from work. We finally set a start date as he was in a rush to get it done. Chad then changed the start date 3 times. I decided not take on this project. Communication is my strongest suit, just read the other 65+ 5 star reviews. Pleasant Surroundings is owner-operated, we do one project at time (on time). I value every customer and they get all of my attention and all you have do is read the reviews. He put me in a position where I had to reschedule other jobs, reschedule my workers (it came to the point where I was risking other customers and my promises to them. The red flags were popping up left and right. I didn't start the project, I did not receive a dime from him. I wish him the best, I hope he finds the right contractor for his needs.
