I am a fairly new White Belt who showed up to the Sunday class/open mat. The instructor was respectful, the class helped me clean up my arm bar, and the open mat had plenty of cool guys to roll with. As a newer guy, what more could you ask for?

Was visiting in from Washington DC. Invited to train by my brother who is a member here. Everyone’s was warm and welcoming and I received some really great training from all the belt levels during the session. Professor Greg is great and I will back to visit soon.
Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu DFW deserves 6 stars for how amazing of a place this is. I started training here in August ‘25 and absolutely love it. The professors have created a phenomenal atmosphere and culture, where every day on that mats you are challenged and grow as a better jiu jitsu player and person. I would recommend joining for the professors alone, as they are patient, motivating, encouraging, and make it fun to be there. The people here are friendly and welcoming, everyone is all about helping everyone get better, there are no egos. There are a wide variety of different styles and skill sets, with the upper belts really taking the time to help you learn. Plus the mats are immaculate and cleaned many times a day. Finally, there are so many different times to train each and every day with the academy offering 6 AM, midday and night classes. The 6 AM class is solid with big numbers, great energy, and great training partners! Highly recommend this academy to anyone looking for a community of high quality BJJ instruction!

Professor Phillip is a fantastic coach and is especially great with the kids. He creates a friendly, supportive environment where they can learn and grow. For those who stick around, it really becomes like a tight-knit family. We’re so glad we found this community!

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu! From day one, Coach Philip, Coach Steve, and Coach Josh have been absolutely incredible. They are knowledgeable, encouraging, patient, and truly invested in every child’s growth. They take the time to ensure each student feels supported while still challenging them to improve.
My girls absolutely love coming to class—so much so that they get genuinely upset if we have to miss a day! That alone says everything about the positive environment they’ve created.
Since joining, I’ve watched my daughters grow in so many ways. Their confidence has skyrocketed, they’re developing discipline, respect, perseverance, and resilience, and they’ve gained skills that extend far beyond the mats. It’s been amazing to see the pride they have in earning new techniques and reaching milestones through hard work.
If you’re looking for a place where your child will build confidence, learn valuable self-defense skills, make friends, and be mentored by coaches who genuinely care, I can’t recommend Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu enough. We’re so grateful to be part of this community!
