We hired Richard General Contracting to replace some wood rotted doors at our rental property in Del Mar and we couldn't be more pleased with how professional Luke and his team were throughout the process. Luke holds his crew to a high standard and they constantly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We highly recommend them!

I’ve worked with Luke on multiple projects over the last few years as a subcontractor, and he’s one of the few GCs I fully trust to run a job the right way from start to finish.
His communication is clear and fast, his scopes are detailed, and he actually does what he says he’s going to do. That makes it extremely easy for my team to show up, do great work, and stay on schedule.
Pricing is always fair and on point for the level of quality he expects on his jobs. There are no surprise changes, no games, and no cutting corners to win a bid and then make it back later. He’s transparent about budgets and timelines, which keeps everyone on the same page and keeps the homeowner confident.
Every project I’ve done with Luke has been well organized, paid on time, and the clients have been happy with the final result. As a trade partner, that’s everything you can ask for.
If you’re a homeowner or a subcontractor looking for a solid GC who runs clean, professional projects, I highly recommend Luke!!!

He was consistently on-site, either overseeing the work or working himself, and was incredibly accommodating when we added changes and projects along the way. Everything was still completed within the original timeframe. We had a great experience and will absolutely hire him again for future projects!

We had a great experience working with Luke. He gave our office and master bedroom a great refresh! Between the office and master bedroom, Luke replaced a window, installed LVP flooring, added recessed lighting, handled new drywall and insulation, and put in a new sliding door. Everything Luke did in our home was done with care and respect for our home. For example, he and his crew wore booties every day, kept the workspace clean by installing ram board to keep the floor clean, and were always considerate. I also really appreciated how he took the time to explain things as the project progressed and even answered a bunch of unrelated questions I had about the house. Overall, super professional, easy to work with, and someone we’d happily hire again.

I was looking for a general contractor to help with some doors and windows, so I reached out to Luke from Richard Contracting. He did such a great job that I ended up having him do my roof as well. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and kept the job site clean. I highly recommend Luke for any of your construction needs—he truly delivers quality work.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Mr. Richard on a custum gazebo at my home, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. From the very beginning, he demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic that truly set him apart.
Mr. Richard was punctual, respectful, and kept the worksite clean and organized throughout the entire process. He communicated clearly, listened to my ideas, and ensured that every aspect of the project was completed to a high standard.
The finished results where perfect! and I’ve already received compliments from friends and neighbors on how great everything looks. If you’re looking for someone reliable, skilled, and easy to work with, I highly recommend Mr. Richard for any construction or renovation job.
