Review from Google · view on GoogleFirst off, we love Round Rock Studio. Beautiful facility, all the things you need. I took the DaVinci Resolve 101 Workshop, and it was perfect for me. Long time photographer and video editor here, but I need to move to Resolve for a number of reasons. This is a bootstrap course that clarifies many things that I have not, until now, understood: screen layout, workspace management, a starting point for workflow. It was also an opportunity to do exactly what I tell other people: if you don't know where to start, take an entry-level class so you can ask questions of a real person. A few simple things during the first 45 minutes caught me out, but our instructor got me right back on track. I was able to draw parallels between Resolve and my experience with another NLE, leading to many "oh!" moments. The provided sample project was very well put together, enabling us all to be exposed to the fundamental elements needed to get started with any project. Techniques were illustrated in ways that made sense, and that will apply going forward. Highly recommended.
