I'm so grateful for Second Chance for Homeless Pets. We adopted our dog Nixon from them 17 years ago. I adopted my little Avy girl i'm here when she was a puppy. She was the perfect little pup 💙🩷 She passed at 13 years old. I then adopted my Daisy girl Around six months later. The passion second chance has to save animals holds a huge spot in my heart! I can't say enough good about second chance. 💙💙💙💙
We adopted our little one a few weeks ago and the process was seemless and included all of her shots. Would HIGHLY recommend if you're looking to adopt.
Awesome program. Took my dog in for vaccines which was inexpensive compared to humane society or vets.Employees showed great skill in providing a quick and painless experience for my dog.

Got my cat here
I'm so grateful for Second Chance for Homeless Pets. We adopted our dog Nixon from them 17 years ago. He'd been at an animal control shelter and even got returned by another family, but SCHP never gave up on him. Nixon was anxious but playful, and I still remember visiting their facility and watching him play. We knew right then he was ours. I'll always be thankful for the life we got to share with him because of them.

My fiancée and I adopted Janis the other week from Second Chance. We went in just to look around and get involved with the strays in UT, and ended up spending over an hour talking with Robert who works there; he was so kind, informative, funny, helpful, and gave us a great time whilst there. My fiancée has had poor experiences with other shelters and non-profits working with strays in the area, given her ethnic and religious background, yet felt so welcomed by Robert and the team at Second Chance. The shelter does their best, with what they have, to help animals who otherwise would have been euthanized or in poor conditions, and the people working there truly care about the animals' wellbeing. They work hard to provide the animals with vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, psychological and emotional wellbeing, while also educating the public on ethical and responsible adoptions. The shelter also has a little shop selling very affordable treats/toys/equipment, and hosts a fundraising gala each year to further support their efforts. Additionally, they have great foster opportunities for the weekend or for a few hours to help connect the animals with people who care. After a week of preparing and thinking about it, we went in and adopted Janis; we were given a resource bag with treats, toys, and food, medication records, microchip record, and information on how to care for the puppy once at home. As an update, we ended up renaming her Simran Ze'evi, which is a combination of Sanskrit and Hebrew names (my fiancée's background) which translate to 'A Lone Wolf who remembers God.' She is getting along well in our home and with the dogs in the neighborhood! We're grateful that Second Chance gave both us and the puppy a chance.
