I paid $600 for what was supposed to be a professional mold inspection, but the technician did absolutely nothing except run two basic air samples and take one swab. They brought zero diagnostic equipment—no thermal imaging cameras and no moisture meters to check the walls or ceilings. Worse, I had to physically lead the entire appointment. The technician didn’t even intend to check my attic, and would have skipped it entirely if I hadn't pushed them to go up there and look. You expect an expert to actively hunt for the source of a problem, but I had to guide them every step of the way. Charging $600 just to drop a pump and walk away without a real physical diagnostic is a complete rip-off. Save your money and find a certified company that actually inspects.

Ian and Don were both great, and came out on short notice. They gave great advice on what tests they'd recommend and were quick on the turn around for the tests. They were very accommodating to any questions I had and that made a shitty situation feel a bit easier.

Saint John did air clearance testing at my house. Gave me some advice that probably ended up saving me about $30-40k. Almost always answered immediately and if they didn’t they’d follow up quickly.

Ian came by our house on short notice and performed lead testing on the basement walls (XRF gun) as well as taking a sample for asbestos testing.. to my knowledge he is one of the few labs in St. Louis that even provides XRF scanning to the expense of the equipment. He was very thorough / conscientious in his review and very helpful in answering our many questions during the testing. We would definitley hire St John Environmental again ! Jeff
