Trustworthy, fast repairs, fair prices - what else could you ask for.
I needed a SMOG check for my Porsche Boxster and happened to drive by TP auto repair which is close to where I live. They were open early so I pulled into the lot and asked if they had time to do the check. Phong, the owner, was familiar with my car, because he used to have one like it, started on the SMOG check…
Excellent, honest, and efficient. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Pham has Excellent customer service, is very knowledgeable, friendly, fast and very fair pricing.
I can’t stop talking about TP Auto—and for good reason. I tell everyone I know to go there, and I genuinely won’t take my car anywhere else. I don’t know much about cars, but they always pinpoint exactly what’s wrong and explain everything clearly. TP Auto is reliable, honest, affordable, and always has a quick…
Great service!
Honest and trustworthy
T P Auto Repair was economical, professional, knowledgeable and customer-friendly.
The best and most trustworthy auto repair shop I’ve ever come across. Took my 98 Tacoma in for overheating issues and a check engine light that other shops couldn’t figure out how to fix. It was finished the same day and at a great price. I’m blown away by this shop and will be taking all of my vehicles to it in the future.
My family has been using Phong since I was a child and has become a trusted family friend and mechanic. TP auto is the most reliable, straightforward, and all encompassing auto service in all of San Diego. I cannot recommend him more!
Faster service than anticipated and reasonably priced! Great customer service
Came for a 2nd opinion. Glad I did! Communication was great, price was very reasonable, and was able to fix the issue right away. Will definitely come back for future work.
My experience was a very favorable one. The team is knowledgeable and provides very prompt service. They are thorough and very friendly. It was a great experience. I will return should other car issues appear.
Amazing mechanic. I’ll never go anywhere else. Thank you,
My first time here and I'm so impressed how nice everyone was, and how fast they were able to fit me in and how quick repairs were done ✅ 👏🏽 with diagnosis within a hour after drop off. Incredibly fast, affordable, and quality service!! Cindy gave me a warm welcome and Phong was very transparent with what my car needed. They took care of everything in less than 24 hours! I thought a lot of the reviews on here were too good to be true, but after my experience I really do believe them. 10/10 would recommend.
Had a really positive experience at TP Auto - they were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was explained to me in a way I easily understood and the repairs were done quickly. The price was also reasonable. I'll be visiting again!

I came in with an idea of what was wrong but needed a second opinion and it repaired. They were so friendly upon arrival, they took the time to listen to what I explained was happening. Throughout the repair they were very transparent about how they figured it out, what they would do to fix it, and how much it would…
Excellent service, fast and clear with lots of communication. I have an old car and the price felt very fair, would absolutely go back!
Along with having issues with my push to start, I needed an oil change and my tires rotated. Being in the area only for a week, I rely heavily on Google reviews to lead me in the right direction. I was a little leery because there seemed to be a lot of emphasis here on smog checks, which I didn't need, but my…
Love this place. Very honest with what needs to be done and the prices are better than most places. Ill be back
Friendly staff, much faster than expected service. Dropped my car off before 8AM and it was ready before noon. I felt like the price of the work done was fair. My car felt new after picking it up. I will be coming back here.
The best service you’ll receive in SD! Called me 10 minutes after leaving with what needed to be fixed and took one day! So fast and honest!!!! Please consider coming here for all your auto needs!
Professional and friendly. If you are looking for reliable service. I would definitely recommend this place.

I got referred by a friend a couple of years ago. I’m always looking for a honest mechanic shop. And that is TP AUTO. Decent prices, on time and most of all honest.
Excellent service and fast
Quick and friendly
What a blessing it was to find this place! After years of dreading working with car mechanics, I’ve finally found one I can trust.
Fast & pleasant service! They really go the extra mile in customer service.
OMG! These guys are so great. They've taken such good care of me for 10+ years. Always a 'can do' attitude and they always figure out the REAL issue. Cannot say enough -- all three vehicles to them. They keep fixing it and I keep driving it. Truly, check them out.
