Trustworthy, fast repairs, fair prices - what else could you ask for.
My new favorite go-to for my car!! They took great care of my car and they even changed out my key battery for free which was so nice. 10/10 service!
Phong was communicative, fast, and I got my car in and out of there within 2 hours. I will be back.
Love this place. Very efficient and nice.
THANK YOU PHONG FOR THE AMAZING SERVICE. I came to his shop right at opening, 7:30 AM, as a walk-in needing a diagnostic test due to my car consistently dying on me and making a rattling noise while driving. I had been dealing with this for a year because I did not have the funds or reliable mechanics in the area to…
Excellent, honest, and efficient. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Extremely friendly, helpful, and quick turn around. Would recommend
Great friendly service. They demonstrated appreciation and enthusiasm for my 1994 Nissan SE-V6 pickup! Make an appointment!!
Very affordable oil change and pretty nice people, but totally did not address the issue of my windshield wiper fluid tank leaking. Sure, they filled it, but now all that beautiful blue liquid sits on the concrete of my apartment complex garage. Guess I have to suck it up and find another shop. Oh well. -- UPDATE:…
I chose TP Auto based on positive reviews. Phong & staff were helpful & prompt with repairs.
Super friendly and got my truck fixed quickly. I'll definitely be back for standard services and if any other work is needed. Highly recommend these folks
Awesome service. Called ahead to make an appointment and they were very helpful to tell me what kind of updates my car needed.
Great service, nothing more to say. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by. Phong is a great mechanic. Honest and hard working! I will come back anytime I need to.
I absolutely recommend this shop , their customer service is in incredible they had originally told me it would be a four hour job. It was done within two hours of me dropping off my car. They were very communicative from the beginning entering the time that the car was at their shop. They kept me informed they…
Great experience, went in for a service and smog. They were very quick, friendly and thorough and caught a few things I needed to fix. Would recommend :)
Excellent friendly service! Thank you!
I needed an emissions test and Phong and the team did it within 30 min, checked my oil and noticed it was low and needed to be topped off, and checked the PSI on my tires. Super helpful and close to my house in University Heights. Would come back for servicing in the future! Super friendly, honest and informative…
I can’t stop talking about TP Auto—and for good reason. I tell everyone I know to go there, and I genuinely won’t take my car anywhere else. I don’t know much about cars, but they always pinpoint exactly what’s wrong and explain everything clearly. TP Auto is reliable, honest, affordable, and always has a quick…
I honestly love this place, I have taken my car here several times and always been thrilled with the repairs and service. They are thorough, thoughtful, and knowledgeable, but still willing and able to explain car stuff to a layperson. They are also competitively priced for the location and nice to chat to when…
Fast, honest service with no hassle and reasonable prices. Love this place.
Phoung takes care of his clients better than any shop I've dealt with. They truly do it all; fast turn around time
10/10 service. Quick and easy.
TP’s Auto Repair has been my families go to auto shop for decades. Friendly, fast and fair.
Good honest mechanic that repairs fast. They won’t overcharge or try to sell you on something if it isn’t needed. 10/10 recommend and I’ll be back for future repair needs.
Great service, friendly, honest - I’ll be back!
Brought two cars here and both were fixed up within a reasonable time with great service! Would definitely come back :)
Amazing service! Friendly and efficient and strongly recommend this place 👍
I finally found my go to car mechanic in San Diego! Phong is so thorough, kind, and transparent. I got bamboozled by another mechanic and Phong communicated and showed me in person what was actually wrong with my car. I had a 4+ hour road trip the next day and after his team fixed my shocks and I got new tires. I…

It was a great customer experience overall!! Very friendly and polite customer service. They were able to help me out with a thermostat swap, were able to see me and return the vehicle same day, and notified me of any current problems with my car. I will definitely be coming back to this location!
I sent my friend at TP Auto Shop all the suggested repairs from Audi. He told me 4 out of 7 things I should get it fixed. I asked him for a rough estimate. He gave me a rough estimate & asked me to bring the car for him to take a closer look & give me a more accurate estimate once he sees what actually need to be…
The best and most trustworthy auto repair shop I’ve ever come across. Took my 98 Tacoma in for overheating issues and a check engine light that other shops couldn’t figure out how to fix. It was finished the same day and at a great price. I’m blown away by this shop and will be taking all of my vehicles to it in the future.
Friendly, highly competent, competitive pricing—TP Auto Repair has my highest praises

Phong is thorough and attentive. He also spent time to explain me of what happening to my car. Two thumbs up for him.
Got me in quickly with what could have been a very serious, significant repair. Communicated several times over the course of a few hours to hone the issue. Car was ready early, was spotless, and everyone was incredibly kind at pickup. I’ll be back… I come from a family of mechanics, this group is knowledgeable,…
Quick and fair. Even told me, after inspection, that I didn’t need some of the work I was suggesting. Will be returning.
Super fast and honest service
Excellent work, honest, and kind.
Excellent service! They were very friendly and helpful. Got the work done quickly Highly recommended.
Excellent service, didn't try to sell me but pointed out what needed attention. More work than I expected but they completed it in a timely manner and stayed in touch with me all along the way. I felt it was a reasonable price for the work they did. I am very happy with the results and I will highly recommend them to my friends.
Very efficient and comprehensive. Young woman at the desk was extremely helpful!
Went in for a car leak, helped me straight away. Seemed like very honest people, and get down to business asap. They give you all the reasons and explanations you ask and need. Really friendly.
Incredibly fast, affordable, and quality service!! Cindy gave me a warm welcome and Phong was very transparent with what my car needed. They took care of everything in less than 24 hours! I thought a lot of the reviews on here were too good to be true, but after my experience I really do believe them. 10/10 would recommend.
Had something weird going on with the fan on my GMC Sierra and they fixed it same day. Very friendly and knowledgeable
