My new favorite go-to for my car!! They took great care of my car and they even changed out my key battery for free which was so nice. 10/10 service!
I found T P Auto Repair on the internet. Their high rating led me to this place. When I called in to see if I needed an app, he asked some questions about the car. He said come on in, we can get you in & out today. When I arrived, he quoted a price. I went for a walk, I was kept up to date. Very smooth process.
Friendly, fast, high quality service!! We’ve been going to TP Auto for about a year and they will be our go to place from now on.
Phong was communicative, fast, and I got my car in and out of there within 2 hours. I will be back.
I had a great experience at TP Auto Repair. Car repairs are never cheap, but they were upfront about everything and explained what my Honda needed without making me feel pressured. The staff was professional, honest, and really friendly throughout the entire process. They completed the work quickly, answered all my…
THANK YOU PHONG FOR THE AMAZING SERVICE. I came to his shop right at opening, 7:30 AM, as a walk-in needing a diagnostic test due to my car consistently dying on me and making a rattling noise while driving. I had been dealing with this for a year because I did not have the funds or reliable mechanics in the area to…
Excellent, honest, and efficient. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Extremely friendly, helpful, and quick turn around. Would recommend
Great friendly service. They demonstrated appreciation and enthusiasm for my 1994 Nissan SE-V6 pickup! Make an appointment!!
Very friendly and quick service! Fairly priced
I recommend TP Auto Repair. Good communication, honest repairs.
Thorough, quick, fairly priced
Very affordable oil change and pretty nice people, but totally did not address the issue of my windshield wiper fluid tank leaking. Sure, they filled it, but now all that beautiful blue liquid sits on the concrete of my apartment complex garage. Guess I have to suck it up and find another shop. Oh well. -- UPDATE:…
Finished work way ahead of schedule and communicated every single step of the way... more than super happy
Great, quick, affordable services
Fast, easy, and great service!
Awesome service. Called ahead to make an appointment and they were very helpful to tell me what kind of updates my car needed.

Excellent service that is fast and reasonable in price.
We had a great first experience here for service. Super accommodating to take us first thing AM since we have a toddler and they were FAST and kind.
I can’t stop talking about TP Auto—and for good reason. I tell everyone I know to go there, and I genuinely won’t take my car anywhere else. I don’t know much about cars, but they always pinpoint exactly what’s wrong and explain everything clearly. TP Auto is reliable, honest, affordable, and always has a quick…

Hands down the best auto shop I’ve ever been to. I’ve gone to TP for emissions testing, oil changes, brakes and rotor replacements, everything. They work incredibly fast and always try to take care of the customer. Always a pleasant interaction, good work, and a fair price. Couldn’t recommend more highly!

Fast and friendly service. Would definitely recommend.
Professional with very speedy service. I would recommend this location for its convenience (oil change and SMOG).
Came for a 2nd opinion. Glad I did! Communication was great, price was very reasonable, and was able to fix the issue right away. Will definitely come back for future work.

The workers at TP Auto are friendly, kind, and truly care about their customers. They make it easy to schedule an appointment and consistently finish in a timely manner. They are great at communicating the work that needs to be done to your vehicle, as well as offering recommendations for future service. I always…
Cindy is a sweetheart. My impression of everyone in that family business is that they genuinely care about their customers. They don’t try to groom you with “free” coffee, donuts, cable television, recliner, and “free” shirts like Tom does at Dragon Fly Automotive while he screws you. TP Auto has a bench outside…
Super fast and honest service
They were all very helpful and I felt welcomed with hospitality. Definitely coming back again for future maintenance!
Excellent work, honest, and kind.
Family owned, very friendly and fast service. Couldn’t ask for more! Thank you so much :)
A close friend of mine had recommended TP auto repair, I was due for an oil change and prolonged it for far too long. It’s off El Cajon blvd, extremely easy to find and enter, driving up Cindy immediately approached me so I had no confusion where to enter or park my car, which immediately made me feel comfortable!…
Excellent service, didn't try to sell me but pointed out what needed attention. More work than I expected but they completed it in a timely manner and stayed in touch with me all along the way. I felt it was a reasonable price for the work they did. I am very happy with the results and I will highly recommend them to my friends.
My first time here and I'm so impressed how nice everyone was, and how fast they were able to fit me in and how quick repairs were done ✅ 👏🏽 with diagnosis within a hour after drop off. I truly appreciate how authentic, efficient and helpful everyone was with me and the communication throughout the time my car…
Real straight shooting professionals that don’t try to upsell. Also they were super fast and nice.
Very friendly, fast service
Very good experience. Customer service went above and beyond. Everything that was done to my vehicle was explained, all my inquiries and questions were answered.
Phong and Crew were fantastic! Will send all family cars here as our new “Go To” Auto MD. Thank you SO MUCH!
Great service! Was able to get me in same day, and the oil change was done within 2 hours! Will definitely be coming back.
Great service, definitely recommend!
Excellent service Phong only did what was necessary and serviced my car very efficiently.
Great service and kind people 😄
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I had a great experience and they were fast with the service and smog test. Highly recommend
Awesome experience at this neighborhood spot. They were very friendly and honest off the bat (hard to find in a mechanic these days) and didn’t try to sell me on anything more than I needed. They even let me know I could probably squeeze another month out of my brakes if I really wanted to. I asked if the work could…
TP was very helpful, everything was clear and straightforward. He maintained great communication and finished the job very promptly, faster than the estimated time. Overall very friendly and quality service
Best experience with mechanics shop ever. Felt very safe and satisfied with the service here. Turn around time was much faster than expected. I just moved to San Diego. After the first visit, I’ve already felt like I’m in a family. Highly recommend this shop.
I had a great experience here, everybody is very friendly and they did a great job. Their customer service is also excellent, very easy to communicate with and set up appointments.
The staff at TP Auto are very nice & professional. I’ve been going to them for 15 years and always feel good after an appointment at their establishment. I know I will always get good quality service at a fair price. I highly recommend their business!
Super great service and honest! Owner is very attentive to detail with great customer service. Went in to fix thermostat and oil change and very happy with the work!
Came in on a really busy day and they helped me in 20 minutes!
Along with having issues with my push to start, I needed an oil change and my tires rotated. Being in the area only for a week, I rely heavily on Google reviews to lead me in the right direction. I was a little leery because there seemed to be a lot of emphasis here on smog checks, which I didn't need, but my…
The fastest and most professional experience I’ve had with any work done on my car. They had my oil changed and smog check completed under 40 minutes as promised when I showed up without any appointment. Good work!
Trustworthy and friendly mechanic! I’ve been here a few times with my car and I just started bringing my fiancés car here. It’s a family run business and the customer service is wonderful. I highly recommend it!
Love this place. Very honest with what needs to be done and the prices are better than most places. Ill be back
Great service ! Took 2 hours to get my brakes and oil change fixed. Super easy. Great service and did not overcharge 🙂. Will definitely come back again.
I was originally referred by Oil Changers and so glad I scheduled work on my car at TP. Phong is straightforward and direct about quotes for repair and timeframes. I appreciate that he embodies the never overpromise, always over-deliver order of business so that way I know what to expect. Great shop and excellent,…
Quick, great explanation of the services being done, and good value.
Very knowledgeable and great service. I would definitely recommend. Took my 911 here after they had done work on my F-150. Spot on repairs at a very reasonable price. Knowledgeable, meticulous mechanics. Highly recommend!

The very best Auto repair in southwest USA. Located in San Diego, I drive from AZ for all my Lexus needs. Honest and excellent service. I love this place. Stephen Merrick
Vehicle died on me twice in 10 minutes time. Took it in and left it over night. I was told it could take up to 3 days to get it back. By the end of the first day, the day i dropped it off. I had a phone call saying the issue was diagnosed and being worked on and would be available for pick up in the morning.…
Quick and friendly service! Went in for an oil change/tire rotation/tire leak and they managed to fix it all in a timely, professional manner. Definitely recommend!
My car informed me that regular/maintenance and oil change was due, so after reading all the great reviews for TP Auto Repair I swung by Monday morning. The owner came out to meet me and told me that he’d be giving me an oil change and tire rotation, but other services wouldn’t be necessary, and that they’re usually…
This auto shop is friendly, fast and reasonable.
Super efficient experience each time. My husband got his jeep smogged here, failed then fixed then passed, all with great advice from professional owner. I get my car oil changed here regularly and enjoy how easy it is to schedule and pick up. Will continue to return and recommend!
Place is great! Fair prices and so quick!
Great job!
Great service every time.
Dropped off at 7:30, out by 9 for Oil and engine mount repair. First time customer, I will be back.
Best place to get your car fixed. I have been coming here since I was 19 and always get excellent service. Drive from Chula Vista because I don’t trust anybody else to touch my cars / trucks. If you want a stress free auto shop, this is the place to go.
This is by far the best experience I’ve had taking my car in for maintenance. I am a regular customer of his for everything my car needs from oil changes, smog checks, and repairs/replacements. I have typically had a hard time feeling like I had a trustworthy mechanic who tells me exactly what I need and when I need…
Love TP! They are honest, reliable, friendly and won’t waste your time or money! What more could you want from your mechanic! Would, and do, recommend them to family and friends!!
I went to TP Auto on a recommendation from a friend, they were extremely efficient, kind, and had fair prices. I definitely won’t be going anywhere else in San Diego.
Fast & pleasant service! They really go the extra mile in customer service.
By far the best service you will get with a well-experience mechanic! Phong is a honest/reliable mechanic that will get the service done well! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
My alternator suddenly died and my car was stuck across the street. They helped me charge up my battery so I could start my car and move it over without getting towed and got every thing done super quick within a day. Also, very friendly and no BS. I think this is the first time I have gone to get any service…
My daughter and son in law recommended TP Auto Repair. I was very pleased with their service, how up front they were about the timeline of how long the work would take.
