My 10 year old daughter and I had such a great time on the horse trail ride. I have not ridden a horse in a long time- the horses were calm and knew just what to do. The trail was fun and it was a pretty walk in the woods. I cannot believe we have not done this before. We will definitely be back for more riding!

We had a fantastic experience! All the horses were great boys and our guide, Rachel, was professional, friendly, and did a great job selling other services/places around Tanglewood. However, my horse was panting my entire ride. I’m not sure if Franklin is just older or if the heat was getting to him. He looked exhausted already when coming back from the previous ride and then 5-6min later, I got assigned to him. He panted from beginning to end of the ride and it was over 90 degrees. None of the other horses showed signs like him. But I couldn’t shake my guilt for my entire ride and that kinda bummed the excitement. Hopefully he had decent time to recover afterwards. We were told a lunch break followed our ride. He definitely looks well taken care of but I still felt guilty riding him.

The safety of the rider and the horse. Horse turn out is wonderful, horses are outside in the pasture for at least 14 hours a day, some are welcome to stay longer. Farrior’s on site once a week or you can use your own. A Barn Vet comes out to do an annual testing and vaccinations or you can choose to bring in your own . Trails are clear and easy to access. I can’t think of a better place to have a horse boarded and taken care of, the training that is available and the entire atmosphere of the stables area. Drama free.
Fun easy ride
I'm a heavy person so I can't ride that a sad part but a gorgeous place
So Sweet. We love the older horses they take on the trail. They are mellow and they follow directions and know the drill! Age 7 and up can go! Cash or check only, $40 per ride
I got a group of friends together with varying levels of experience for a trail ride. Meredith, our trail guide, was an excellent instructor and great company on our ride. The horses we each had their own personality and were easy to work with, especially for beginners. I will definitely be back!
