Since I can no longer edit my previous review, I felt convicted to come back and provide an updated review. As I continue navigating the legal process surrounding motions to modify and contempt proceedings, I’ve gained a much better understanding of family law and have come to appreciate just how effectively my attorney handled my case. Looking back, there were aspects of the agreement that I initially felt could have been addressed differently, but I now recognize that my perspective at the time was shaped by my own limited understanding of how these situations unfold in practice. To wish for additional safeguards would require one of us to have the ability to know the future, and unfortunately that’s simply not the case. I genuinely believe that she did an excellent job representing me and securing an outcome that was fair and well thought out based on the information available at the time. Family law is complicated, and as I’ve learned more about the process, I’ve come to realize that many of my frustrations were not the result of poor representation, but rather my own lack of experience with the legal system. Overall, I think she is a great attorney; knowledgeable, professional, and dedicated to her clients, and I’m grateful for the work she did on my daughter and I’s behalf. Thank you, Jill. I had contemplated making this review but I believe heavily in vetting a company, person, or business prior to entering into agreement with them. This is solely for educational purposes and not to slander my attorney, because I believe she did her best with what she had. I am simply sharing my experience in hopes it can help someone else make an informed decision. I had a relatively disappointing experience with my divorce attorney and would not recommend her for cases involving serious safety concerns or substance abuse issues. My case was not a typical divorce. My ex-husband has an ongoing history of drug use, including using substances around our children for the better half of the last year. The situation escalated to the point where drugs entered our 4yo daughter’s system. I also had recorded evidence of him admitting to drugging me by putting his substance of choice in my water bottle the night I called the police on him for using in our home around our children. Despite this, my attorney refused to listen to the full recording and repeatedly dismissed my concerns. She approached the case as if it were a standard civil dispute between two adults, completely overlooking the very real safety risks and the evidence I had. She recommended that I agree to stipulations that felt unreasonable and not in the best interest of my child, suggesting that a judge would likely side with my ex-husband. Given the severity of the circumstances and the evidence available, I strongly disagreed with that assessment and did not feel properly represented or advocated for. I wish I would’ve pressed charges and proceeded with the restraining order and taken a chance in front of a judge. As a result, I am now in a position where I have to spend additional time and money to pursue a post-judgment modification to correct terms I felt misguided into accepting—specifically related to residency restrictions that could impact custody, when while I would somewhat understand her stance on this stipulation if school were a factor, our daughter is 4 and hasn’t even started school yet. While the final agreement does include protections—such as limited supervised visitation and requirements for drug testing before any custody rights are granted—these outcomes came despite, not because of, the level of advocacy I expected from my attorney. If your case involves complex issues like substance abuse, child safety, or requires strong advocacy, I would strongly encourage you to carefully consider whether this attorney is the right fit.

Jill handled my divorce with professionalism considering the attorney that she had to work with was VERY slow in response and action. She continually followed up to push him to answer. I greatly appreciated everything she did, and I highly recommend her! Plus, she is very affordable!!!
