I had an absolute blast. I was reluctant to attend because I am not a crafty person. The staff are welcoming, patient and very helpful and surprisingly, they helped me create a masterpiece. The Rustic Brush in Pearland is the perfect place to make friends, laugh, whine down and let your creativity flow. The owner came in and went straight to work. She showed us how to add the final touches to our proud pieces, and her expertise was greatly appreciated. I recommend this place for bonding, parties, date night, brotherhood, sisterhood, family reunion fun night and downright fun.

Thank you Nariah! Your projects were beautiful. Can’t wait to have you back.
The Rustic Brush is a great place to relax, get creative, and make something you’re actually proud to take home. The studio has a comfortable, welcoming feel, and the staff makes the whole process easy, even if you’ve never done a project like this before.
Ms. Rhonda is a super sweet lady and really makes the experience better. She’s patient, helpful, and you can tell she cares about the people who come in. She walks you through everything without rushing you or taking over your project.
The studio is clean, organized, and set up so you can enjoy yourself without feeling crowded or stressed. They offer a lot of project options, and the finished pieces come out looking solid and well‑made.
I’ll definitely be returning for other projects. If you’re looking for something fun and different to do, this place is worth it.

A huge “THANK YOU” for taking the time to write such a thoughtful review. We can’t wait to craft with you again.
I absolutely had the best time! I booked a solo date for myself and built and painted a stove cover for my new home. Whether you bring someone or come solo, you will feel right at home. I can't wait to go back.
My family and I had a great time with our projects here. There were so many options to choose from, and everyone came out with the perfect personalized project. It was a wonderful experience, and we cannot wait to come back! Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun time with family or friends while making something unique.

Thank you so much MJ. You are correct, your projects were perfect. Everyone did a great job on them. See you soon.
Update: This review is solely based on my individual experience and not my team's.
My core concern was how you made me feel—unwelcome. I arrived late, put my items away, and started sanding. My entire review focused on the delivery and reception of your communication and the resulting negative atmosphere.
Honestly, if your communication had been more friendly and professional, we likely wouldn't have felt this way, and the sense of being rushed wouldn't have been taken so negatively.
Your response, however, is fixating on the time difference, which I explicitly acknowledged and that you chose not to charge us for. That was never the main complaint. The issue was, and remains, your attitude toward us. Instead of focusing on the time, please focus on improving your approach moving forward.

My team recently visited The Rustic Brush in Pearland for a team building event. The hands on project was exactly what we needed after a long week, and the end product was genuinely neat. While we all had a good time once the crafting began, the initial customer service significantly impacted our overall experience.
First, potential visitors should know the location is tricky to find, which led to me arriving about 10 minutes late. I was immediately met with a harsh tone regarding the lost time. While I completely understand the importance of keeping to the 3 hour schedule, the delivery felt unwelcoming and set a very uncomfortable atmosphere for our entire group. The message was delivered with visible frustration, making us feel immediately like an inconvenience rather than paying customers.
This sense of being unwelcome continued as the instructor began critiquing our initial steps without providing basic instruction. Since none of us had ever done this type of project before, we were essentially treated as though we should already know the process. The communication surrounding the $100 overtime fee, while a policy I understand, was also delivered aggressively, adding unnecessary stress to what should have been a relaxing event.
Thankfully, the atmosphere improved noticeably after the instructor seemed to realize we were uncomfortable. She started being friendlier and provided more thorough, helpful explanations, which allowed us to finally settle in and enjoy the activity. We ultimately went past the 3-hour mark but were not charged, for which we were grateful.
Overall Recommendation:
If you are looking for a fun, creative team building activity where you can build something genuinely cool, I would recommend The Rustic Brush. However, be prepared for a potentially difficult or unwelcoming initial experience regarding time management and instruction style. The activity is fun, but the comments made throughout our session were unnecessary and unfortunately overshadowed the positive parts of the visit.

Latisha,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We always strive to create a fun, creative, and welcoming environment for all of our guests.
That being said, punctuality is a very important part of our workshops. As outlined in both of our Confirmation and Reminder emails that you received:
We are excited to craft with you soon. Here are a few important reminders:
• Please arrive about 15–30 minutes prior to the start of the workshop for any preparations and/or setup. Workshops will begin on time.
• Food/Drinks are welcomed.
• Kids Workshops (ages up to 13 years old) are 2 hours. Adults and Open Workshops are 3 hours.
• Additional hours may AUTOMATICALLY BE BILLED if the workshop goes over the allotted time. Please make sure to follow the instructor's guidance and pace. (Additional hours may be automatically billed or purchased ahead of time at $100/hr.)
Your group arrived approximately 30–40 minutes late, and instead of beginning right away, chose to drink and socialize before starting—resulting in nearly an hour of lost workshop time. In addition, some members requested to switch projects upon arrival from what they originally booked, which created further delay and disruption. While we do our best to accommodate, last-minute changes often slow the pace and can impact the experience for others.
Ultimately, the late arrival not only shortened your own creative time, but also interfered with the instructor’s schedule and any groups following yours. Your session was scheduled from 6:30–9:30 p.m., yet per video records, your group left at 10:15 p.m. Under our clearly stated policy, I could have billed each of you $100 for exceeding the allotted time. I chose not to—though, as the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished.
When the policy was explained, I understand it may not have been the news your group wanted to hear. However, my responsibility is to ensure that workshops start and end on time, and to enforce the same rules consistently and fairly for every guest. You were welcome to rent the space for an additional hour but declined to do so, which placed my business and staff in an unfair position.
While I regret that professionalism and policy enforcement were interpreted as a “bad attitude,” I must kindly point out that respecting time boundaries and workshop guidelines allows all guests to enjoy their full experience. Many of our visitors value this structure because it ensures the focus stays where it should: on creating something memorable.
We truly value your business and wish you the best in your future creative experiences. Respecting the time and policies in place will always make for the best possible experience for all parties involved.
Warm regards,
Rhonda
My department from work (perhaps 20 people) were treated to The Rustic Brush for a team-building exercise. We all had a great time. We did everything from welcome rugs to wood projects. The employees were very helpful and guided us from start to finish, and plenty of pictures were taken for posterity.

Thank you Tim! We were equally treated to having your group in our studio. Each of did an awesome job! We hope to have you back.
My daughter and I had a wonderful experience here for a Girl Scouts’ gathering. We had separate workshop tables for the adults and children and side tables were provided for the snacks and drinks we brought. The helpfulness and efficiency of Rhonda and her staff allowed our large, energetic group of about 20 children and 15 adults to socialize and complete our projects within the 3-hour time frame allotted. Rhonda showed me how to use the nail gun to safely assemble my piece and provided guidance when I wanted to make an adjustment to my design.
At the end of the session, Rhonda took a moment to talk to the girls about the different painting techniques and color schemes they used to help them be knowledgeable about the subtle differences and appreciative of everyone’s creativity. This was a great outing for the entire group and the projects turned out awesome.
