I adore my therapist Meredith at Third Place Therapy. I read a lot of self help books but eventually realized I could only help myself with so much, so I reached out for help. I found their website and had a phone consultation with a little assessment to see if their services would suit my needs. I was able to schedule an in-person appointment (my personal preference, they also provide telemedicine appointments) within a short amount of time. It was not a scary, daunting process - believe me, I have some wicked anxiety. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Third Place. And their new office (as of June 2026) is beautiful and very easy to find.

Elaine brings an incredible depth of knowledge and expertise to her work while creating a space that feels warm, supportive, and collaborative. Elaine was excellent at understanding each clinician’s approach and guiding us on how to integrate IFS and somatic techniques into our EMDR work. Her approach is rooted in recognizing the complexity of each client and offering flexible strategies tailored to their needs. After working with her, I felt more confident in my own EMDR practice and better equipped to adapt interventions to individual clients.

Thank you for the generous review, Tiffany! It was such a delight working with you as a consultee for EMDR. Excited for all that's ahead for you in your therapy career.

If you're looking for help incorporating IFS into your EMDR practice, Elaines group is where it's at. She does an amazing job at helping understand the fundamentals for both and how to do it in a way that blends the two not only for the clinician but also how to explain it to clients so they feel confident in their own healing process. There was a ton of helpful handouts and information that I have already personally used in a number of sessions with clients that have created so much more confidence in my work as a therapist! I HIGHLY recommend this group to any EMDR therapist who is interested in IFS/parts work!

Elaine at Third Place Therapy has this warm, approachable presence that immediately makes you feel at ease. She's incredibly well spoken and thoughtful, but what makes her unique is she connects with you more like a friend who genuinely cares, which is such a rare and valuable quality in a therapist. She's relatable and kind, and is a wealth of knowledge, experience, and helpful insights. She has this way of being supportive and motivating without it ever feeling forced or overly clinical. You know what you're getting with Elaine, and that dependability combined with her genuine warmth makes all the difference. I can't recommend her enough.
