Tiltons does great work and stands behind their work. When I comparison shop, they are more expensive about 70% of the time, as much as 2x. But I know if they can get to my car, it will be done well.
I took my car to Tiltons to repair a misfire. They were able to find a broken push rod. They recommended a repair that they could warranty but I wanted to try to repair the pushrod first. Problem was correctly diagnosed as an upstream O2 sensor based on the readout of an engine code. However, $457 for this very simple diagnosis and repair seems very high. Price included two full hours of labor and a mysterious $31 fee. I will be looking for a new mechanic.
