He did an OK job for my house a few years ago, I was satisfied at the time of the report, but frankly speaking, I didn't know much about houses, so I took his word for things. After a few years, when I have finally had a moment to read his report again, I realized he glazed over the major issues, which for someone who does inspection for a living, should have been very obvious as major problems. Why he didn't give me details on all the wood rot and the failing windows, I don't know. Maybe he worked with the realtor to cut a deal to get the house sold? It is shady that he was already talking to the realtor when I arrived and the first thing he had to say was how great the house is. To be fair he did find mold in the attic, which I was able to negotiate a decent amount for. But the wood siding and failing windows are far more expensive to fix, and the report glazed over those problems, leaving me with a massive repair bill just a few years after closing. I also had to replace the furnace and AC only 6 months after closing. I did point out to him that I hear the noise from it and it doesn't sound right, but again, him and the realtor did a distraction technique to gaslight me into thinking it's normal. I really think people should get educated about homes and the repairs they need to catch previous owner's negligence rather than relying on these shady home inspectors. Maybe he meant well and genuinely thought the problems weren't worth emphasizing, but I am leaning toward him cutting deals with realtors to keep getting referrals.

I had a great experience with THI from start to finish. The guys (Dan and Chris) who came out to the property were excellent. I had a standard home inspection w/radon testing. To the best of their ability even in limited areas hard to see, they left no stone unturned. Very thorough. Took plenty of time with me to go over every detail. Turnaround for full report was less than 24 hours. Pricing was comparable to most other companies. Would absolutely recommend.
