I had an emergency with my 91-year-old mother, compounded by an excruciatingly painful shoulder injury of my own that made the round-the-clock combination of work and care for her completely untenable. A co-worker recommended Accfamily to me, I called them, and they found help for me immediately! They were flexible about finding extra hands for the hours that would be most helpful for me and that would take the biggest load off physically for me. And the person they sent to help was a tremendous blessing. She jumped into an upside down crisis situation and did exactly what was needed every time she showed up! Her treatment of my mom was so kind, while also being effective and efficient. She was cheerful, creative about solving problems, and unperturbed by the chaos of the situation.

She had 15 years of caregiving experience with the local assisted living facilities and my mom loved her. ACCfamily is there to help right away and they will take care of your loved ones. ACCfamily provided our family with exceptional in-home care for our elderly mother. From my initial contact with the company through the last day that we required their services, I experienced genuine care and support from each member of their team. The “family” in their name is what you can expect, as they truly become an extension of yours. Melissa quickly and expertly matched highly qualified caregivers to meet our needs, even on short notice. I felt as if our needs were her highest priority, and she delivered in every situation. ACCfamily caregivers, Kleo and Fre, provided exceptional care. Kleo consistently made every day better for our mother, treating her as one of her own family. Fre encouraged our mother and also treated her like family. Both caregivers took great care in making sure each day was well spent and meaningful. They went above and beyond their duties in their interactions, encouragement and love for our mother. I am very grateful for ACCfamily and I highly recommend them.

The quality of the caregivers ranged from adequate to excellent. My mother’s primary caregiver was fantastic. She was very caring and grew to have a deep connection with my mother . She went above and beyond her job description whenever she saw the need. ACC did a good job of finding “fill-in” caregivers when needed. My only complaint was that they were not as good or reliable as her primary caregiver. I would definitely recommend ACC Family to anyone in need of a caregiver.

I had never felt that Sunrise gave my mother the best care so I finally had real peace of mind knowing my mother was in the good hands of ACCfamily caregivers when I could not be there. If I could give you a 10-star rating, I would. God bless all of you for helping my mother under hospice care and during her last short week and a half after the hospital and after she suffered a massive heart attack. I know she felt better during the short times she was awake seeing an ACCfamily caregiver. Thank you again.
Our sister was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer recently. It was her wish to stay at home and maintain as normal a life style as possible. As her illness progressed, it became apparent that our family, all from other states, could not continue to provide care for her without help. We decided to interview Northern Virginia area Home Health Care Agencies, to assist us in provide the care she needed to live independently at home. After interviewing four agencies, it was abundantly clear that ACC Family was the right choice for us. We liked that it was a family owned business, started when their family had a similar need for a loved one. ACC is a No. Va. business and not a franchise or large corporation. They carefully matched caregivers that fit the personality of our sister. They became part of our family! Kelly, our weekday angel, followed by Terry & T in the evenings. These three women were kind, fiercely loyal and tirelessly hardworking! I can’t say enough about how much they changed our lives. Phyllis assisted on the weekends. She got our sister to agree to certain tasks that no one else had been able to. And her laughter was infectious! We also had wonderful experiences with the management team. Melissa, our team leader, was always easy to reach whenever we had questions or concerns. Jim and Casey were always a phone call or an email away if we needed any help on the financial end. When our sister died, who was at the memorial…our ACC family! They were loyal to the end. I can’t recommend them enough, and have already done so!
My elderly grandmother came home to her apartment after having a heart attack, and we needed in-home help fairly urgently. ACC Family responded quickly to our need. From the very first phone call, everyone I spoke with was helpful, professional, patient, and kind. I’d recommend ACC to anyone looking for in-home care or support. Their family-focused model and years of experience in this industry are an asset, and honestly they’re a pleasure to work with. They were mindful of the importance of finding the “right-fit” caregivers and worked closely with us in that regard. They were responsive whenever we had needs or questions. I am very grateful for their service to our family and their partnership in caring for my grandmother!
ACC Family was an incredible company to get help for my Dad at home, who was in hospice and needed 24/7 care for over 8 months. The aide we had was remarkable and just what we needed to help support my Dad, along with the nursing staff and administration. Having worked in healthcare as an RN for 10+ years and feeling skeptical of a lot of home health care, this company went above and beyond to help when we needed it. They were very communicative when there were changes in staffing, easy to get a hold of, and overall made the last few months of my Dad's life at home the best they could be.
Kathy, it was truly an honor to be able to be part of your care team for your father in his final few months. We greatly admire all that you did for him and the love-in-action you displayed to him in his time of need.
