Honest, dependable and find any problems quickly. They are spot on mechanics🥰
The team at Al's did a great job. Rex and Gavin made sure I was aware of everything that needed to be repaired to fix my issues with my truck. They also let me know what items would make the repair last long and what items could wait until another day. They sent videos of the issues and walked me through pricing…
Overpromised and underdelivered - classic bait and switch running hustles on people who are elderly, female, or uneducated about mechanical processes so they can gauge and make up needed parts and services. “90% sure it’s the thermostat” $500 later - well we need to run a more thorough diagnostic - it could be your…
Been going to Al's for many years. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Very knowledgeable and caring.
Great people to work with they did a excellent job I would recommend them for all your auto repairs and needs. Thank you again Gary Gavin and the staff for being Great!!
Al's is amazing! I came to them with a car that had been giving me some issues, they listened and helped me get to the source of the problem. They are a very kind staff, always offering to give me free oil checks or tire inspections. I highly recommend Al's to anyone in Cedar Rapids having any questions or issues…
Straight forward and trustworthy. Stood behind their work and

Al’s is always reliable. The staff is kind and honest. The quote was what I paid. Got a ride to and from home too!
I trust their staff! They do a thorough check of the car. They will tell you only necessary repairs and why. I wholeheartedly recommend them
So far so good! Work was finished just a few days ago. Drives fantastic now. EVERYONE was super polite and kind. Worked with and for me in every way possible. Hope I don't need them anytime soon, but if I do, We Know who to contact. Thanks Guys! 💕
Trusted service and great customer service
I've been going to Al's longer than I can remember. Always excellent service. I've tried others over the years but always returned to Al's for FULL service.
Al’s is a very good local automotive shop! I’ve been bringing my vehicle here for years and will continue to do so. Trustworthy and competent people across the board.
I had my car in for high mileage oil change and tire rotation/tire balancing on my Subaru Outback. Went in a couple days later per their instructions to have lugnuts torqued down after driving the vehicle 25 miles.
I bring both my cars here every time. Friendly staff, comfortable/clean waiting room, great communication. Better than any other garage.
Super service across the board. Enough said. A customer going forward. Thanks!
Honest, knowledgeable, and fair service for over 40 years in my case. High quality with certified professionals. Gary always gives me good advice, never overselling. Highly recommend!
The guys at Al's are great. They took awesome care of me and my car when I showed up in a panic and without an appointment. They texted me a full diagnostic report with a price quote and worked super fast to get me back on the road. I will go to Al's for all of my car needs from now on!
Been taking my whips to this place my whole life, fam has done the same. They do a great job, give you an accurate time estimate when it’ll be done, and most often get the work done sooner than predicted. They fix things and make things better
I drive a lot of miles for work, and usually have a pretty tight schedule. Al’s Full Service has been my top choice since I moved to the area! They exceed expectations for providing fantastic, efficient service for my vehicle, and help to get me back on the road with confidence that my vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition.
Very nice staff. Didn’t do work without knowing the exact cause of my check engine light. Not many businesses would do that. They usually just keep fixing thing after thing.
Great thorough service!!
They broke off my grill and just left it hanging on where is should be attached. They also wanted to charge me $269.00 to replace a $20.00 hood cable. The guy named Gavin who took my payment was more interested in me writing a review than explaining my repairs. At first they came off as on the ball and efficient but let me down
Job done on time at the price they quoted
New to town pleased to find trustworthy business to handle all service work could not be more satisfied
Awesome service and great people!!
We took my older parents car into them because of a leak from the car that we saw in their driveway, the car had not been services for over 3 years. I found them online and called and made an appointment. My husband I found them to be friendly and professional. They explained the would do an 32 point inspection of…
From the greeting when I walked in to the excellent service I received, Al’s Full Service offered me the experience I’ve been looking for. Fair prices and great communication about repair. Can’t go wrong with this place.
Very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and friendly staff.
Great service, kept me informed every step of the way.
I’ve never had such an excellent experience with an auto shop! Andy, Ed and all were incredibly kind, attentive and thorough. I left feeling that my vehicle had indeed been thoroughly inspected, and somehow, just a little happier. When something like that happens, especially these days, you take note. And I have! Five stars +
