I was disappointed with my experience with this company. I was charged a $60 service fee just for someone to inspect my washer, even though they were unable to fix it. The technician later said the fee was clearly listed when I booked, but I genuinely do not remember seeing it or having it directly communicated to me.
What concerned me even more was when I asked which company he was with, he told me “ACE.” I specifically asked if he meant ACE in Hacienda Heights, which is a completely different company, and he told me yes. It wasn’t until afterward that I discovered the actual company name through Thumbtack.
I also want to clarify that I never logged into the Thumbtack app when I originally booked the service. After this happened, I had to create/log into an account to see the actual company name and the full pricing information, including the $60 fee.
When I questioned the charge, I was told the technician could not leave my property until I paid the $60, which made me feel pressured and uncomfortable.
I understand that service fees are common, but I believe they should be clearly communicated upfront, and customers should be given accurate information about who is providing the service. Overall, the lack of transparency and the way the payment was handled left me feeling misled and uncomfortable.

Customer rescheduled on us 2 times and we were very glad to squeeze her into the schedule. Customer was sending happy faces and was very happy with our professional service right until she had to pay for the technician to come out. She claims she never saw a service call fee page. The technician being very polite and professional explained and even showed exactly where the service call fee is shown before booking a service. Mariana Reyes still doesn’t want to pay and feels like she never saw a page that showed a service call fee. When booking a service every customer looks at details and she claims she sent requests and called many companies. Due to her failure of reading and looking at details she leaves a 1 star review. We reached out and tried to make things better and even offered a refund on service call fee of $60 but nothing could have been to satisfy this customer.
