Barrett Tree Service East

I love using these guys, and we've worked on two urban jobs, South Boston and Cambridge. They are not only excellent at their jobs, but the crew is professional, courteous, and thorough.

We have had Barrett Tree Service East keep our mature trees - some over 80 + year old healthy and trimmed for several years now. Ryan helped us rescue an 80 year old Japanese maple after a dry and extremely varied temperature winter. Barrett has also helped keep our 30 foot yews trimmed back so that their boughs… Read full review

I have had an excellent experience working with them. They seem to care more than others about their quality and pleasing the customer. I feel thjeir advice about pruning my trees is excellent. They are prompt and dependable.

As always, Barrett dud a great job. We've used them for pruning back trees away from the house and also for dead tree removal. Their office is responsive and the people that come to do the work are very knowledgeable and nice. Will continue to work with them as needed!

As always, the Barrett crew was skillful, efficient & impressive in their removal of a large, dead spruce from my property. In a downpour no less!

These folks have kept my trees strong and healthy for years. When a recent storm with hurricane force wind toppled some branches, they responded the next day to remove the fallen limbs. Very professional. Very easy to do business with. Very nice people .

We've used Barrett for everything from removal of entire trees, to trimming and removing large branches overhanging our property, to treating our trees and shrubs to keep them healthy. They're responsive, reliable, and never leave a mess behind. I've recommended them to several friends and neighbors and all of them have been pleased with the work done.

I have been using Barrett Tree East for at least 20 years, since the days when Trumbull Barrett himself would typically be on the crew. I always thought very highly of them, and have reviewed them before. My most recent experience exceeded my prior uniformly positive ones, and deserves its own write up. On 30… Read full review

Reliable and trustworthy professionals, impeccably competent and fair in all respects.

The crew from Barrett did an incredible job ensuring the safety of mine and my neighbors properties while removing 3 tall and troublesome trees. These trees were covering 3 different houses and when Barrett completed the work it was like they were never there at all. They took care in the planning process all the… Read full review

Came on time. Was very quick. Very efficient.

Very professional, efficient, cleaned-up better then we would have. Great crew!

Reliable. Easy to work with. We worked with them again in fall 2023 and they did excellent work.

Great customer service, experience, and professionalism. Happy to keep using Barrett to keep our trees healthy.

Excellent! These guys really know (and care) about what they're doing. We've had them remove, prune, and feed a variety of trees and shrubs; and they've always been thoughtful, conscientious, and on time. Grateful for the time given to our garden... and to educate us about how to care for it!

Update 05-31-23 (from ~one year ago): All of the same still applies. Barrett Tree's service and overall care is tremendous. I feel as confident now as I did two (or more) years ago to recommend them to a friend or a client. Original: Barrett Tree is truly tremendous, in every category. They helped us initially w/… Read full review

Te team worked very well together. Brock was very professional. Highly recommended.

Wonderful experience with Barrett Tree Service. We needed to remove two trees that were encroaching on the house foundation, along with tree triming. They gave us an accurate estimate and explanation of what access they would need. Team did the work efficiently and were very friendly, despite the pouring rain that… Read full review

A tree and its stump needed to be removed in order to repair a fence. Barrett did a wonderful job. The tree was down quickly and the crew was very responsive. We will be using them for all of our future tree care needs.

Barrett Tree Service helped us with removing a declining Japanese Maple, and replanting a new one, along with removing and replacing a few shrubs. The team is very professional and highly skilled. My Aunt hired them to remove 4 large trees. The crew was friendly, professional and did a great job with cleanup.

Great job! Terrific crew and great result.

Great experience working with this company from start to finish. Offers insight into tree and shrub care, shows up at time agreed, cleans up thoroughly when finished. Also pleasant office staff and straightforward communication around estimates and billing. Highly recommend!

Great crew excellent job and cleanup. Couldn't be more satisfied.

They're a small business, limited manpower, so working with them requires a little patience. Sometimes they show up early, sometimes late, sometimes they'll need to reschedule. The reason to use these guys? Give 'em a chance to screw you, and they won't take it. The original job was to prune my neighbor's tree… Read full review

The tree removal team arrived early. They worked efficiently and were done quickly. The tree was removed, the stump was ground down and covered up. Everything was cleaned up. The driveway was swept (blown) clean. If you didn't know a tree had been there, you wouldn't be able to tell. My yard looks great.

We had Barrett Tree Service take a 60ft tree out of our back yard (over the roof) in charlestown with a large crane. The crew was very professional and did the job in less time than expected. Would 100% use them again.

The crew and other staff were all terrific and professional. Contacted me in advance, came at the planned time, answered a couple of my anxious questions and did a fine, fast job. It was also surprisingly quiet, since many small-diameter branches were taken off with hand saws rather than some roaring machine.

Barrett Tree Service is the best. Knowledgeable, responsive and reasonable. They're great both for long-time planning, and when you've got a tree down in your driveway. (We have several old trees on our property and have used them for both.) I never get the sense that they're trying to oversell me on services, and… Read full review

Very professional and knowledgeable team. Have used their services for years and plan to for the future.

Fantastic team. Really committed to saving trees, when possible. Walked me through our property's trees and made recommendations. Great communication and contact. Super professional. So glad to have found them!

My experience is positive in all the important ways: the person who made the sale and the crew who did the work exuded expertise and conscientiousness, while also being very pleasant. It would take a dramatic event to cause me to explore for an alternative service provider in the future. These are busy people, so start your booking process right away.

Very happy with Barrett Tree Service, would highly recommend this company.

The team worked efficiently together, pruning, cutting and cleaning up. I couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome with regard to aesthetics and thoroughness.

Extremely responsive and capable team who know how to work in the CIty!

The guys were very nice, professional and courteous.
