tavoid. initially had us hire a contractor to install a latch for fold down attic door. contractor arrived and found the latch. had to pay for that. left mold in EASILY accessible areas of the attic. not talking about the appearance of the decking- they simply didn't clean all the mold that was visible. didn't do anything to prevent future mold growth (didn't even bother to readjust insulation around the soffit). barely documented work done (a couple bad pictures) and voided our warranty when we didn't let their outside subcontractor reroute the bathroom vent into the attic. that's right. he stated he was there to reroute the bathroom vents INTO the attic. the bathroom vents were already routed to an external vent on the roof, so disregard any response below that states otherwise. again, avoid this company.

As part of your project, we addressed the ventilation improvements that were reasonably possible given the existing design and configuration of the home. Properly routing bathroom exhaust fans to the exterior is an important component of managing moisture in an attic and is a requirement of our remediation warranty, as outlined in the contract signed prior to work.
Regarding the residual staining, the attic decking had significant pre-existing mold staining before our arrival. Due to the very limited working space and existing insulation, access to portions of the decking was extremely restricted. While our goal is always to improve the appearance of affected materials when possible, remediation does not guarantee that heavily stained wood will return to its original appearance.
We stand behind the work performed and appreciate the opportunity to address the conditions within the agreed-upon scope of work. We wish you the best moving forward.

We recently had a reputable company come in because my son has a sensitivity to mold (PANS) and asthma and his health has only continued to decline. They thoroughly investigated and found a partial wall of mold behind the sink, mold under mutiple tiles, and a rotted cabinet bottom.

Our inspection in 2024 was performed as a non-invasive assessment, which means concealed areas behind cabinets, walls, and beneath flooring could not be evaluated. Unfortunately, hidden mold growth can exist in these areas.
Based on the conditions that were visible, we recommended interim control measures, including cleaning, painting, and HEPA filtration, rather than immediate full remediation. Looking back, I wish we had communicated more clearly that concealed damage associated with the sink could have warranted additional invasive investigation.
We take your feedback seriously and will use it to improve how we explain the limitations of our inspections and the potential for hidden conditions so our clients can make the most informed decisions possible.
I sincerely hope your recent remediation has resolved the issues and that you and your family—especially your son—can now enjoy a healthy home. We wish you nothing but the best moving forward.
