Customer service on 07/23 evening - was transferred to a nurse and no response. Called front desk back 4-5 times after and no answer. Unable to be put in contact with my unresponsive mother. At least should have a better system in place or offer an alternative if transfer does not go through - people pay money and…

The staff at Cogir, Old Town Alexandria is the best! Especially our main contact there, Nancy Garcia. I was tasked with finding assisted living for my brother — but I’m located on the other side of the country. So my initial interviews had to be done by phone, rather than the convenience of being in-person. But Nancy’s expertise and genuine caring bridged that distance, no problem! Nancy was able to walk me through Cogir’s mission and operations, answered all my questions, provided recs and resources — from money to medical to moving — literally on the daily, as our family worked through the decision process. We selected Cogir because I felt my brother would be surrounded by PRO-ACTIVE ADVOCATES FOR HIS WELL-BEING, not just skilled employees. There’s a big difference between the two! And it was Nancy who led that message — through the phone line! She’s the real deal - and so is the team around her! They all engender trust, put their experience and knowledge to good work, and show up with a positive attitude. I don’t run into such a talented team very often like this group at Cogir Old Town — who truly care about their work and the people in their community — but it’s obvious and very much appreciated. Our family feels very fortunate to have found this place for my brother.
