Exceptional Care, Compassionate Staff, and True Peace of Mind! As the oldest daughter and a caregiver for my mom, I cannot say enough wonderful things about Commonwealth Assisted Living in New Baltimore, Michigan. Finding a place where your mother is not only safe and well cared for, but genuinely happy, is an extraordinary gift. I am so grateful that we have found that at Commonwealth. Our family is very involved in Mom’s care. We visit frequently, speak with her on the phone every single evening, and stay closely connected to her daily life and well-being. I can say with confidence that Mom is happy, comfortable, and treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. As her daughter, that means more to me than words can express. One of the highlights of Mom’s day is the food! She absolutely loves the meals, and I appreciate how much care goes into making mealtimes something she genuinely looks forward to. These seemingly small things make an enormous difference in someone’s quality of life. The staff is consistently compassionate, patient, and helpful. They understand that caring for an older adult also means supporting the family members who love them. Whenever Mom needs a little extra assistance or something unexpected arises, the staff is responsive and willing to help. That level of kindness and cooperation provides tremendous reassurance. I especially appreciate the administrator’s leadership and personal involvement. She is accessible, approachable, and genuinely invested in the care and well-being of the people who call Commonwealth home. I value that she knows her residents and takes an active interest in their individual needs. Her leadership helps create a culture where residents are treated as people, not simply as patients. As the oldest daughter, I feel a deep responsibility to advocate for my mom and make sure she receives the care, attention, and respect she deserves. There is no greater peace of mind than knowing your mother is surrounded by people who genuinely care about her happiness and well-being. Aging brings changes and challenges, not only for our parents but for the families who love them. Having a community that recognizes the importance of compassion, communication, and partnership makes that journey so much easier. I am deeply grateful to the entire Commonwealth team for the difference they make in Mom’s life. Trina Anderson and the staff at Commonwealth for the Memory Care side are so caring and compassionate to the residents. They really take time to get to know the residents individually and make the necessary accommodations for our loved one’s comfort and care and for this we are Truly Grateful!!!

Our mother was a resident at Commonwealth for two years and suffered from severe dementia. We previously had her at Oakleigh and were not happy with the care she was receiving so we made the decision to move her to Commonwealth. We made the right choice. The care was far above what she received at Oakleigh. I would also like to mention that in her final week before passing the facility and its workers were very sensitive to the situation, came in to check to see if the family needed anything and supplied us with fresh beverages and snacks as we were there many hours a day. That to me was going above and beyond and was very classy. We are thankful we had such a wonderful place to help us care for our mother. I should also mention they have a wonderful Hospice care team that they recommend that also did an amazing job during Lynne’s final couple months.

Great senior living community!! The staff is friendly and attentive, they welcomed my MIL with open arms and she loves living there. I would recommend this senior living home for any people looking for assisted living for their loved ones!!

My parents lived here for over 3 years before my mom passed away. The main thing I would say is that the administration is wonderful. They really care about their residents. Several of the staff who’ve been there a long time do as well. A huge shout out to the stellar activity director who keeps the residents busy! Overall, I highly recommend.

We had scheduled my mother to move into Commonwealth but due to a change in her health we had to cancel. The manager was very understanding of our issues. Having toured the facility and talking with other residents I feel it was the nicest in the area, staff and facility included.

Our mom is currently at Commonwealth Senior Living. We are very pleased with the care she is given. The staff is so caring and kind. We would definitely recommend Commonwealth if you have to make the tough decision to put a loved one in a facility.

I can’t express my gratitude for the care they gave my mother, the entire staff was so kind and caring not just for my mom but for our family as well. They made my moms stay there some of her happiest days while living in memory care.

My mom has been in Commonwealth Senior Living for over a year. She currently resides in the memory care area. The staff is amazing. They have gotten to know her very well so when they feel something is not quite right with her they are quick to alert us and take steps to follow up with the appropriate care. Just as with any facility, you need to take part in your loved ones care and make it a point to visit regularly but I feel my mom is safe and well taken care of when we are unable to be there. I am very happy with facility and my mom says the food is delicious!
