The whole staff are amazing. Could not have landed in a better VA referral for mental health. EMDR with Lakeisha has been phenomenal. Ideck and Juliana are lovely ladies to chat with. Many clients show up here, no surprise at all.

I received a psychiatric evaluation and was asked by the provider if I was seeing a therapist. When I said "yes", I was then informed that in order to receive ongoing psych services/med monitoring, I would have to discontinue with my current therapist and be re-assigned with one through this agency. Can someone please explain WHY???
I had to contact this office when I went to get the lab work done they order for me. The lab order didn’t have an ICD-9 code on it, which was needed for me to get the lab work done. I just knew that they weren’t going to be able to get me what I needed when I called, especially in such a short amount of time. But the from office connected me to the medical assistance that was able to get me that code and I was able to get my lab work done without having to leave then go back later. The entire phone call took about 45 seconds, best office experience I’ve had in years! Thanks FCC staff. You make taking care of your mental health so easy! Keep up the great work!!!

For anyone who is struggling with serious depression, I would whole heartedly recommend discussing TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) with your doctor. After years of trying counseling and one medication after another, my doctor referred me to Family Care Center where I learned about TMS. It’s FDA approved and something so easy one would think it’s some kind of parlor trick. There are no drugs involved. Instead, after an MRI to locate what amounts to an area in the brain where (and this is a REALLY simple “TMS 101 For Dummies” explanation), some of the “wires have broken or come unglued”, a painless, low dose magnetic current is applied for a few minutes while you read or listen to music or watch TV or check your email. There’s a time commitment (mine was about 6 weeks) of sessions of about 20 minutes, 5 days a week and my insurance did pay completely. I went into this thinking it probably wouldn’t do much, if anything, but if it helped even a little bit, it would be worth it. Let me be honest, I feel like I have a new life! It’s been a month now with no sign of depression or living a pointless life returning. I am SO HAPPY that I did this. And thank you to the wonderful people at Family Care Center who turned the lights back on in my world!
