We used full packing and moving services with storage. Both the packing team (Paul, Gabe, Javier) and the moving team (Paul, Kevin, Daniel, Gerson) were wonderful! They were friendly, kind, interactive, and diligent. They wasted no time in getting started and worked solid until the job was done. We used Gentle…
We used Gentle Giants to wrap and load our furniture into a U-Haul truck we rented. We were happy with their response, communication and professional attitude for the initial phase and when it came to the wrapping and loading we continued to be impressed. Dakarai, Donny and Cameron were awesome. We plan to use them again. They are reasonably priced too.
Gentle Giant did a terrific job for me. Everyone I worked with from the packers to the movers were kind, hard working and efficient. They took very good care of all my belongings. I highly recommend Gentle Giant to anyone looking for an excellent moving company!
Gentle Giant Movers just moved my 83 year old sister’s items from the Northern Neck of Virginia to the Boston, MA area last week. We could not have asked for a more professional, efficient, kind, and hard working crew of three of the nicest guys we’ve ever met. I cannot say enough good things about them. I recommend them without reservation!
I just used Gentle Giant to move houses. The team was amazing. They were careful, communicated very well, and very efficient. I highly recommend their services. The team was led by Amin (who was amazing) and all of the crew (including Paul, Mohamed, Erick, Alonso, Buenaventura, Gerson, Kevin, Jimmy, and Octavian) were professional, friendly, and helpful!
Great, friendly team! The truck showed up on time with a team of 2, and the other 2 team members came a couple hours later. They worked efficiently and carefully and wrapped up only half an hour behind schedule. The office team was also extremely responsive to questions. Would definitely use again!
Gentle Giant's moving crew was on time for our move, highly professional, fast (beating their own estimate by a couple of hours), and without incident. Their back-office staff was equally professional and helpful. They helped ensure a typically stressful day was stress-free.
Gentle Giant far surpassed our expectations. We were so impressed by their fairness and work ethic that we will never use a different moving company. The crew was so hard working, and positive during a very difficult logistical move. Our final bill was actually less than the estimate! If you need a moving…
I’ve done multiple moves with Gentle Giant and wholeheartedly recommend them. For this move, our crew was faster than estimated and the whole process came in under budget, which is always a plus. Paul, Andre, Karun, and Dylan were so nice to work with and very careful packing and moving our stuff, including delicate…
Gentle Giant made our move completely stress-free from start to finish. They handled both our packing and our move, and the entire team went above and beyond every step of the way. Everyone was incredibly professional, friendly, and hardworking. What stood out most was their attitude—nothing ever felt like an…
We had a fantastic experience with Gentle Giants. They were great with communication, thorough with details, and able to do a high-quality job on very short notice. The individual movers who worked with us - Alonso, Erick, & Karun - were wonderful to work with, They were timely, kind, efficient, and thoughtful. They…
★★★★★ Outstanding Experience with Gentle Giant I cannot say enough good things about Gentle Giant and the crew that handled my move. I called on very short notice because I needed to move urgently due to a significant pest issue in my building that was not going to be resolved quickly. From my very first…
Jimmy and Paul truly made a difference in my move. I cannot say more incredible things about the two of them. Start to finish from the initial communication with the office. Then the two gentleman did a fantastic job on both ends. I wish I used them for my move 18 months ago, it would have been so much better. I highly recommend this company.
My crew was coordinated, careful, and fast, accomplishing the move hours below the top of the time estimate for my small, short distance residential move - despite my inability to get a loading dock open for most of an hour. While the price was a bit high, I found it was well worth it.
Fantastic experience - super easy move, almost too easy! Everything was packed up with care, moved quickly and carefully through both buildings and organized perfectly. I could not recommend Gentle Giant more! Especially with a tight turnaround on availability on my end, they made it a breeze.
Special Thanks to you Dominique Powell and your outstanding team great , critical thinking skills and very professional in their craft. 100% (Paul Lord, Kyle Williams and Mason Severtson).
I used to think moving was AWFUL! And, yes -- a lot of the packing and sorting is still awful -- but Gentle Giant makes the final part of the move a breeze. Truly! They expertly finish packing stuff you didn't get to or need help with (like artwork and fragile items) and move everything out smoothly and quickly.…
I’m someone who has always handled my own moves — including multiple cross-country relocations — so hiring a packing and moving company was completely outside my comfort zone. I was honestly nervous and a little apprehensive going into it. That said, every positive review I read beforehand turned out to be…
Dex, and Antonio are the most efficient and professional employees anyone could hope for, they make sure every item is safely wrapped and stored for transportation and are just genuinely polite. The most impressive feat of their day was moving a 10ft solid wood conference room table down three flights of stairs…
Absolutely the best moving company I have used over the last 10 years and highly recommend Gentle Giant. The team contacted me the morning of the move to keep me posted of their arrival time which was on-time. A team of three professional and friendly men showed up, and they went to great lengths to safely pack/wrap…
Big move made very easy by Gentle Giant! The team was punctual, professional and personable They packed and moved me without any difficulties. Very impressive from planning to delivery. I felt like I was being moved by trusted friends.
The team we had was professional, fast, courteous, and highly capable. They packed a large truck more efficiently than I've ever seen (and I do it frequently). I can't say enough good things about the crew we had (Armin, Boban, Zarko, and Barry). Thanks guys, you were wonderful and made the move so easy.
They moved my son and they were on time even early and very helpful and efficient
Gentle Giant provided an excellent moving experience. True to their name, the team of movers managed to move all pieces of furniture and items with care, and nothing was damaged. Their expertise was extremely helpful in negotiating large and awkward furniture around very tight corners and low door frames. Everything…
We had Zachary and Andre help us for our move and when I say they were phenomenal, that is not an understatement! Professional, friendly, and SO hardworking. We have a couch that can't be taken apart and our new place has a very tight entryway. About a half hour into trying to find a way to get the couch into the…
Just a great experience moving our house from DC to MD with Gentle Giant. They packed the house up on one day, and moved it all the next. The crew - Dex Veney and crew Andrei Talasman, Leonard Cunningham, Brian Ivey, and Dakarai Veney - were all masked up, cheerful, and worked really hard on both days! They took…
The best movers we have ever encountered, from initial contact through move day. We used Gentle Giant for a local move for large furniture and books. Milos, Andre, and Brian were the most professional moving crew we have ever had (combined 18 lifetime moves with my wife). They were respectful of our property,…
We’ve used Gentle Giant since 2004, moving from Va. Beach to Boston and back again. And now once again as we downsize from our DC home to a smaller place in the District. Also, this past weekend Gentle Giant took a truckload of our furnishings to our son in Virginia Beach. All splendidly done. They are exactly what…
I had such an excellent experience with Gentle Giant movers! I had packers and movers and every single member of the crew was professional, flexible in light of parking snafus, contentious of my items, and efficient. Every single item I own was packed and moved from point A to point B safely. I couldn't have had…
I contacted Gentle Giant for a quote on moving services and ended up receiving great advice on planning my move even if it wasn’t in their best interest. The team called in advance to confirm, arrived on time and extremely prepared to help in any way they could. Dex, Karai, and Erick helped pack up my apartment and…
I was dreading our move after having lived for 30 years in our house, but Gentle Giant's movers made it a positive experience. Milos, Ryan, Zach, Donny, Dex, Dakary and Nate were efficient, courteous, timely, and just plain nice. This was a 3-day process of packing, loading and unloading, and we could tell just how…
Can't say enough good things about Gentle Giant, and, in particular, the Veney brothers - Dex, Dak, and Donny. We hired them to help us pack up our 2BR apartment and move everything into storage. These guys went way above and beyond, and exceeded our expectations in every way. They were consummate professionals,…
We are having extensive renovations done to our home's second floor. Due to a misunderstanding with the general contractor, I needed all of the furniture removed as soon as possible. I had used Gentle Giants before for our last move and also knew them from the great volunteer work they do in our community. They…
Gentle Giants are seriously the best moving company we’ve ever used. They were thorough, professional, efficient, safe, and lovey people to work with. We’ve worked with some pretty bad moving companies and we will always use Gentle Giants for our future moves. I can’t recommend them enough!
Andre and Ishmael were incredible! The move conditions were atrocious, it was raining, rush hour traffic, and the loading situation at my drop off was less than ideal. But through it all Andre and Ishmael did a wonderful job, they were able to take apart and put back together my furniture as if they had the manuals…
Moving is stressful already, and thanks to COVID it can be anxiety-inducing. Gentle Giant were highly communicative, accommodating, and reassuring through the entire process -- including before we even decided to choose them. Our movers were Dex and Dakarai, two good guys who carried our boxes and furniture down two…
The movers were great! I had packed most of my apartment beforehand. They worked quickly and efficiently. They packed my remaining items well and were sure to ask me if they had any questions. My furniture and electronics were packed well. They were also very pleasant and I'm very happy. The prices were much less than I expected.
Gentle Giant was very accommodative and helpful. They made sure everything was organized and asked if I had any concerns or questions before the movers even showed up. The Veney brothers were very nice. Not all of my furniture fit in my new place and they helped me organized and helped put away what I needed to take…
