I had mosquito extermination with one of your competitors; went out to water the garden, and returned with seven mosquito bites. I called Logan and he sent Abraham! 30 minutes later, I went out with my cat, Estrella, for one hour, and came in with zero bites! I am truly a believer of miracles. Thanks Abraham!

Longtime Customer Since 2023 — Extremely Disappointed in Management, Communication, and Unfinished Rodent Services
I have been a Home Shield Pest Control customer since 2023 and was satisfied with their services until September 2026. Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed my confidence in this company.
Around September 12–13, we began hearing rodents in our attic. Despite numerous service visits, telephone calls, text messages, and emails, the situation escalated to rats entering our living spaces in early October.
The accompanying photographs show three rats my husband and I personally captured inside our home. We believe at least three additional rats may have escaped through exterior doors when we opened them the following day, although we cannot confirm that. We have not observed live rats inside our living spaces since then; however, numerous potential entry points remain unsealed, leaving us concerned about further intrusion.
Home Shield did not capture or remove the rats from our living spaces. My husband and I handled that ourselves.
We continue to experience persistent odors from dead rodents, particularly in our hallway, bedroom, and master bathroom. We also hear nighttime noises suggesting continued rodent activity in the attic, walls, or crawlspace.
I first notified George about the dead rodents and odors on October 7 and reiterated these concerns in a voicemail on October 9. I also contacted the local office on October 9. During Jorge's October 14 visit, I again raised the issue, but he informed me that removing the dead rodents was not his responsibility.
As of October 16, the necessary investigation, rodent removal, exclusion work, and comprehensive cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection of affected areas inside our home, attic, and crawlspace remain incomplete.
Management's lack of communication and follow-through has been especially disappointing. George repeatedly assured me that the outstanding work would be completed by the end of the previous week. Those commitments were not fulfilled. Despite numerous calls, emails, and text messages, we still have no confirmed schedule for completion.
After repeated unsuccessful attempts to obtain assistance, I filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (Complaint #25390426). The BBB confirmed that the complaint was sent to Home Shield on October 15, 2026, at 5:45 AM.
As of October 16, I have received no response from the company regarding the complaint or a confirmed schedule for completing the work. I also contacted the company's owner directly on October 16 in another effort to resolve the situation professionally.
This situation has caused substantial stress, repeated sleep disruption, and significant inconvenience. My husband and I have spent considerable time and personal resources addressing problems that require professional intervention.
I want to be fair: Several technicians, particularly Adrian and John, provided excellent service and deserve recognition. My dissatisfaction is primarily with management, communication, accountability, and the company's failure to complete the necessary work in a timely manner.
After more than a month, we are still waiting for a complete resolution. As longtime customers, we should not have to repeatedly pursue management simply to obtain the services and follow-through we were promised.
I sincerely hope Home Shield takes responsibility, completes the outstanding work, and restores the trust we once had in the company.
I will update this review if the situation is satisfactorily resolved.

Spouse and I are very impressed with this Company, From the inspection part, (which was very thorough), to being given options on how to tackle the issue at hand, we felt comfortable in hiring HomeShield, trusting that they will do their best to bring this undertaking to a very satisfactory close! Our inspector, Richard Enriquez, the ladies at the office whom I spoke to on several occasions, the team which did the fumigation, and finally Ethan, the young man who did the "exclusion" part of the project, (he did a fantastic job and was a delight to speak to), left us with the best impressions. I initially hired HomeShield to protect my home from rodents that I had seen running around the property due to fruit trees and large trees in the neighborhood, as well earwigs. They seemed very knowledgeable and checked all the boxes I was looking for, so despite the hefty price tag, we moved forward.
When someone came to complete the remediation (sealing off any entry points to the home), he stopped mid-job to say he needed to go help someone on another job and would return. He did not. I tried calling him, the company, and the salesperson as the day was ending and our crawl space was left wide open. No response until the next day. No one returned to the house until 3 days later. Once the remediation was "complete" gaps large enough for a rodent to fit through remained at several points around the house. What was done, was largely done with mismatched, haphazard materials and techniques.
For the monthly treatments, there was no flexibility. When asked- I was threatened with breaching the contract. They, on the other hand, missed a couple of visits without mention. But once again threatened with charges when I wanted to skip visits.
Through it all, the earwigs remained. And now, a couple years later, the fact that they never completed the remediation that was promised and paid for has developed into a full infestation. It began from one of the main entries that Homeshield identified and "sealed". I have tried repeatedely to contact Homeshield to see if they would make it right. Apparently they're not interested and now I'm paying thousands of dollars for something that should have never happened.
Avoid them at all costs!
