First day we walked into the home, we went in the backyard and noticed termites were living in the shed 5 feet away from the main structure however, in the report they did not check the shed. We had to have it removed, and paid an exceptional amount to install termite control. Also, our entire septic system the master bathroom is not working properly, which they did fill up the bathtub and if it drained when they drained it, they would’ve noticed water was leaking everywhere which was not annotated in the report because as soon as we moved into the home, filled the bathtub up to clean it out. Water started leaking from the back of the toilet and into the shower. So this is going to cost well over $10,000 in repairs with insurance to just replace septic lines on the side of the house, not to include loss in the actual bathroom. When we had the adjuster come to our house due to this huge issue, the moisture meter was ringing off the charts. Why was that not caught at the inspection? Isn’t that something that is checked for, mold and moisture in the walls and floor? However, they did annotate a bending and warped wall in the closet that is connected to the master bathroom, did that not indicate anything at all? Could have done a more thorough testing. The cabinets and garage had signs of fire damage from the previous tenants that was not annotated. Would definitely suggest not using this company to do your home inspection if you’re coming anywhere from Texas!!!! Do your research and hire someone if you have the time we did not have any time so this is what we had to deal with.

We understand how frustrating unexpected repairs can be and appreciate the opportunity to provide some clarification about the inspection. Under rules set by the Texas Real Estate Commission, the basic home inspection you chose does not include a WDI (termite) inspection, septic inspection, nor are outbuildings covered. While we offer these additional services, they were not requested nor ordered. As documented in the home report, water was run at all accessible interior fixtures for approximately 45 minutes, commodes were flushed multiple times, and wastewater flow was adequate. The bathtub was filled, tested, and drained, with no leaks observed at that time. The report also noted there was limited access to the whirlpool tub equipment and documented the warped wall in the closet. We welcome the opportunity to discuss any questions you may have about the inspection and its findings.
