Juniper Yoga + Fitness at a glance

Google reviewers rate Juniper Yoga + Fitness 4.9 out of 5, frequently praising the variety of hot yoga, HIIT, and cold plunge classes, as well as the welcoming atmosphere and attentive instruction. Positive feedback highlights the clean facility, helpful front desk staff, and inclusive environment for practitioners of all levels. However, low-star reviews consistently criticize poor customer service, citing unfriendly owner interactions, disorganized communication, and rigid handling of gift vouchers or medical accommodations. Some patrons also noted that the pricing feels high relative to the limited class variety or specific service failures like late instructor arrivals.

I'd been curious about yoga for years, but it always seemed intimidating to start. I'm so glad I found Juniper. They offer a great variety of classes, and every instructor I've had has been wonderful. I also tried their cold plunge class and came away having learned a lot. Highly recommend Juniper!

My absolute favorite yoga studio I've tried. I had never taken Hot 26 classes before, but it has now become my favorite type of yoga practice. I absolutely love Grace’s 9 AM yoga class. She’s such a great instructor, welcoming, encouraging, and makes the class enjoyable for every level. The atmosphere is so warm and positive, and everyone there is super friendly. It’s the perfect way to start the morning, and I always leave feeling better both mentally and physically. 🩷

First time cold plunging and honestly didn’t know what to expect, but it ended up being a great experience. I’ve been getting back into sports and wanted something to help with recovery, so I decided to give it a shot at Juniper. The initial shock is real, but once you settle in it actually feels pretty refreshing…

Juniper Yoga Studio is truly such a special place. ❤️ The classes are absolutely amazing! There is such a great variety, and every class leaves you feeling stronger, refreshed, and better than when you walked in. Whether you’re looking for a challenging workout, a chance to slow down, or simply some time for yourself, there is something for everyone. Grace, the owner, is absolutely incredible. She leads with so much heart and has created a studio that feels welcoming, positive, and genuinely like a community. She is also an amazing instructor who brings so much energy, knowledge, and passion to every class. The instructors are all wonderful and each brings their own unique energy, personality, and style to their classes. You can tell how much they genuinely care about their students and want everyone to feel supported and successful. And a special shout-out to the monthly sound healings! ✨ They are such a beautiful experience and something I truly recommend everyone try at least once. It’s the perfect way to relax, reset, and leave feeling completely renewed. What I love most about Juniper is that it feels like so much more than just a yoga studio. It feels like a community. The classes, the instructors, the energy, and the people make it a place you genuinely look forward to going to. I’m so grateful I found Juniper and for everyone who makes this studio so amazing. If you’re looking for incredible classes and a community that truly makes you feel at home, Juniper is the place to be. ❤️🧘‍♀️✨

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend Juniper Yoga based on my experience.

I had the pleasure of visiting my friend and colleague, Zachary Schwartz, LCSW, who is a Hot Yoga/Cold Plunge Instructor at Juniper Yoga + Fitness in Montclair, NJ to take his "Cold Plunge 101" class (and then DID the Cold Plunge)! Yes me, who is always cold. I joked with Zack that I wanted a "friend of the year award" for doing such a thing to support him and learn more about this passion of his. In the course prior to the actual plunge, Zack explained all about the science behind both the physical and emotional benefits of cold plunging as well as learning the purpose and power of diaphragmatic breathing. We all chose our own mantras we would use as we did our plunge. Mine was (and is on brand for me), "This will only suck for a little while!" 🤣. Zack served as a guide during my plunge, reminding me of my mantra and the power of the breath. I am proud to say I did a 3 minute cold plunge at 50 degrees! What I found cool about this experience was the true power of the breath that brought calm into my system even when in cold shock AND that I am reminded that I can do hard things. I was grateful to be reminded of the power of the breath, learn the physical and emotional benefits of Cold Plunging, and support a dear friend and colleague in the process. I was also amazed by the cleanliness of the facility and the friendliness of staff there. Everyone in my group seemed to enjoy it!

My best friend and I go to the Sunday 9am class with Grace every week and we love it. Grace is honestly such a great instructor. Her classes are super welcoming, encouraging, and still challenging in a good way. I also really like how inclusive the environment feels. Sometimes there are professional yoga teachers taking class too, which is honestly really inspiring, but Grace still makes sure everyone feels comfortable no matter their experience level. She walks around a lot during class giving individual compliments, adjustments, and suggestions, which makes the class feel really personal and supportive. I also appreciate that there’s zero pressure, if the room gets too hot, you’re allowed to lay down and listen to your body. Also shoutout to the lady at the front desk (I forgot her name 😭) because she’s SO nice and welcoming. Such a social butterfly and always makes the studio feel friendly the second you walk in. Bathrooms are always clean, the vibe is great, and everyone there is cool. Definitely recommend.

I’ve been getting back into sports and wanted something to help with recovery, so I decided to give it a shot at Juniper. The initial shock is real, but once you settle in it actually feels pretty refreshing and energizing. Afterward I felt way less sore and more loose than usual, like my body reset a bit. Definitely something I’ll keep doing as I get more active again. If you’re athletic or getting back into training, it’s 100% worth trying at least once.
