We're definitely happy with the service we received at Kaplan. It was a great deal and did a great job.
Great removal and install, but buyer beware of the BS charges, like '$750 landscape restoration' ie a 4 ft of dirt and a few grass seeds ?
Both the removal and installation teams (Samuel & Santiago) were professional and did a great job.
Kaplan Paving did an amazing job! From start to finish, Casey kept me informed and at ease with the project. He listened to what I wanted, addressed positives and negatives of my vision, and set clear expectations for the process. The work was completed quickly and very neatly. In addition to the repaving of the…

We were impressed with the service and level of communication with Kaplan from the initial estimate to the final step of paving. This was a complete tear-out and replacement of a large driveway. We appreciated that Kaplan handled the applications for two permits.
Arturo and his crew were very friendly and answered all my questions.
Thanks Tricia and the Kaplan team for your great customer service and taking care of my damaged new driveway! You all rock!
Great service! Will recommend them in the future.
Luis and his team did an excellent job, taking care around our plating beds, whike maintaining a professional finish and a clean work site. Kaplan was responsive to my inquiries, and always responded in a professional and courteous manner.
Everything went as scheduled, efficient work, good cleanup and follow-through with permits.
The men that came out were friendly and professional. Answered any questions. They did an AMAZING job
I had the driveway project from hell but Kaplan kept the train on the tracks for the majority of the project. Willing to do most anything you need them to paving wise, they also have some of the best pricing around. Will look forward to working with Patricia and the team on future projects.
Replacment of a 25 year old driveway. Arturo's crew did a Great Job!
Arturo and his crew did an excellent job of installing our new driveway. They were very skilled in their work and very courteous as well. Cleanup was also great.
The seal coating of the driveways done with great care. They did an amazing job! Cracks were sealed effectively as well. One driveway was completely replaced and it was done perfect. Reliable. Great work. Extremely satisfied.
Arturo and his crew did a great job. Very pleased with working with Kaplan Paving
While the driveway removal and replacement crew did a great job, the scheduling department did not communicate timely and June was rude. I had to reach out several times for a scheduling status. I would NOT use them again.
I work at Icon Building Group, and we've had the pleasure of working with Kaplan Paving on several projects. I especially want to recognize Brenda Sanchez, who manages our account. She is incredibly responsive, timely, and always willing to help. Brenda consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs…

Not worth 1 star… doesn’t stand behind their work warranty. Run from them!
I work with ICON Building Group and I wanted to mention Brenda Sanchez. She’s our account representative and I wanted to comment on the fact that she is always keeping up to date with the schedule, responding to us in a timely fashion, and always has a great attitude. She has been a pleasure to speak with and work with and I highly recommend their company!

Jim and his crew were very good and left the property spotless
Jim’s Crew did a phenomenal job this morning of removing my old driveway and preparing for the new drive to be installed. They got the work done quickly & properly with no issues or problems, thank you! Jesse and his team came out yesterday to apply the asphalt and finish the driveway. It turned out beautiful. Thank you again for the fantastic job!
Overall a great experience with Kaplan. They rebuilt my entire entryway and pillars with pavers. Also built a retaining wall and a border around driveway. Removed my old brick paver driveway and replaced with new asphalt driveway. Joe helped design and pick out materials. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. Lars…
I interviewed three contractors to redo our old paver driveway. Joe R. Impressed me with his knowledge and professionalism. He created a great design for us with a combination of asphalt with a paver border. He also recommended that we put in a new stoop which was the right call. Each of the crews were skilled and…
I have worked on two projects with Kaplan, both for small apartment buildings in Mundelein. They have done outstanding work both times. Their prices are reasonable. Remember, this is a 20 year or more investment so cheap is not always good. Keep in mind that there crew that tears out the old driveway is a different…
We have recommended Kaplan to most of our neighborhood already. Everyone has complimented the end result and how professional the work was. Shout out to the team (& props for Billy leading the charge!!!) for dealing with the decision making and will be back for the extension! I hope they continue their patience…
Recommended by a union working on a McHenry city job near Veteran Square. Called back a week or so later.
We finally had our gravel driveway paved with asphalt. The team was amazing. From Billy the estimator, Tricia in the office, the prep crew and Arturo and his paving crew, everyone we dealt with was very professional, attentive, and thorough. We love the outcome. Very happy! Gentleman were professional and very friendly.
Jim and Tovar’s crew did a great job tearing out and replacing our driveway. I would highly recommend Kaplan Paving for a professional job and reasonable prices.
Workers were on time and professional. They did hit my gutter, would have liked to been told about it, and I would’ve appreciated them not cutting with the concrete saw right into my garage. Minor complaints on my end. Work was very well done.
Had a great experience working with Joe R. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend
Would highly recommend, very professional paving company and very client focused. I was under tight timelines to open up and needed the parking lot installed, Lars and his team did not hesitate and made it happen.
The crew did an excellent job with the asphalt driveway and brick border. After winter there was a small area that needed repair and Trisha provided excellent service and got someone out quickly. Abraham did a great job with the repair!
Casey Stolzenburg has been a great representative to work with. Answers my questions immediately, always extremely pleasant. I would highly highly recommend him for any job you have!

Great job done by Kaplan from the salesman, Billy, who worked his butt off for us to all the crews. Professional… polite… thoughtful…and precise in their work. We wouldn’t think of using anyone else
Kaplan paving has integrity on a level that is rarely seen anymore. They could make more money and cut corners like so many others do but instead pride themselves on doing things the right way. Communication was flawless. Both my sales person and the support team were accessible, compassionate and responsive. The…

Jim and crew did a fantastic job preparing my driveway for blacktop. They were all friendly and professional. I would highly recommend that crew to my friends and neighbors. Thank you for the work they did today.
We had a great experience with Kaplan. Mark took his time and answered all of our questions. We contacted 2 other companies for estimates. One never returned our call and the other sent someone to measure the driveway. He nave came into talk with us, just sent an estimate that was higher than Kaplans and never cared…

Jim and Arturo and their crews were fantastic. Tear out of old asphalt, grading, and new asphalt installation went without a hitch. “New” driveway looks fabulous. They were quick, courteous, detailed, and left the area like they were never even there. I am extremely happy with Kaplan’s service!
I wanted to like Kaplan Paving. This was based off previous knowledge of the business and previous owner. I chose them to install new pavers and driveway. They were tearing out an old driveway and installing a new one to look similar to old one. I was hugely disappointed with the entire process, quality of work and…
Kaplan team arrived on time and they provided an exceptional services. We love the way they prep our driveways. Very impressed and excited! From Homeowner in Arlington Hts.
There really aren't enough words for me to try to convince future customers NOT to do business with Kaplan paving. I was told by several business persons NOT to use Kaplan paving, unfortunately I didn't find this out until my driveway was already completed. I found a stark contrast between what the salesman was…
Jessie and his team from Kaplan Paving exceeded our expectations in every way. Jessie communicated clearly at every…
Kaplan is outstanding in service, responsiveness and quality! Their team is excellent! Special recognition to Lars and Trisha! Both my home and commercial paving needs were completed exceptionally! Thank you! Mary A.
We had our driveway done in 2022. The pictures show the job that Kaplan’s supervisors deemed acceptable. $$$$ and now we, the homeowners have to deal with a frozen pond at our front stoop and the worry of guests or delivery drivers slipping on ice and getting hurt. Kaplan’s warrant department deemed it not necessary to redo the work.
Matt and Trisha were outstanding to work with! The Kaplan crew that came and did the work were very professional and courteous and did a fantastic job removing and replacing my driveway.
Brenda, Cesar and Billy were great to work with. I would use Kaplan paving again. The price was really good and the team did a great job with our small driveway. Thank you
Did a fantastic job, very professional! Crew were respectful, hardworking individuals; knew what they were doing and did it! Kaplan took care of everything from start to finish explaining what was going to happen, when and how it would happen and what to expect.
Kaplan Blacktop over delivered more than promised. They were timely, professional and precise. They weren’t the least expensive or the most expensive. We highly recommend them and will use them again. Btw, Lars is a gem.
Joe Revelle and team were top notch.
Very professional. Would refer them to anyone without hesitation. Fantastic job.
Kaplan Paving was not the cheapest estimate we received for replacement of our 25 year old blacktop driveway. But, we sure are glad that we had them do the work! Matt, one of their friendly, knowledgeable estimators came out and started our experience with Kaplan in motion. He explained the differences and…

Wish I could give a less than 1 star. Do yourself a favor and find another company. They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I paid around $3,500 less than 3 years ago to have my asphalt driveway removed and replaced. I had multiple huge cracks in the middle of my driveway right away and the…
Kaplan is fairly priced. Work completed as promised. Beckie and Cesar / Scheduling stayed in contact through the whole process. Cesar/Scheduling even followed up a few days after driveway replacement was complete. To make sure we were happy and that job was properly completed. So far so good!
