I had no choice but let him try to fix it, and the board didn't work. The technician was very nice but he should of offer to replace the board that he broke not only offer refund my money back. In conclusion The old board wasn't fix, he broke the new board and lost the repair money. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I didn't ask you to work for free in fact I paid in advance. The board is not 20 years old. You should have pulled the board diagram to find if the CPU was builted to the board that's your job.

Im sorry you are not satisfied with service, everything explained to you prior to Attempt, and sorry i dont work for free, you forgot the fact i was trying to help you repair your module on a 20 years old board, nobody even touch, and you didnt tell me cpu is welded and not is not removable, its good to be fair and reasonable , ECU schematic is not available to public or 3rd party.

I wanted very badly to give this dude a 5 star review because his customer service is great and he’s a great guy. But I took my climate controls and speedometer out of my car to him to be repaired, in which he said he just got done repairing parts exactly like them, so this was nothing new. He attempted to fix the climate controls, I took them home to try them, and they did absolutely nothing different, I took them back along with my instrument cluster to have the speedometer repaired. I picked up the climate controls and instrument cluster later, and he also said “you had an issue with your mileage meter too so I fixed that” (I did not have an issue with it, it worked just fine)… I tried them both, and they both still didn’t work, and on top of that the mileage meter didn’t work anymore… This is a big deal because it’s a 75,000 mile 80 series landcruiser, worth $50,000+ due to condition and low mileage and he just broke the meter that makes it worth so much… Anyway, he told me the speedo should work, if it doesn’t that means the problem is in the vehicle not the cluster, then I take the climate controls back to him a 3rd time, he fixes it. I pick it up and try it, and it still doesn’t work, and does literally nothing new.. And I told him there was a problem with my oil pressure gauge and my tacometer too, he told me there were no issues and they worked fine, I later found out that was not true… Everytime I drive to see him I drive 45 minutes… At this point I have done 6 hours of driving back and forth with California gas prices because he has 5 stars, I gave him 500$ for literally nothing to be fixed… I asked about some sort of refund and he said he couldn’t due to his labor, which is I guess fair, he still put in labor, but nothing was fixed…. Yesterday a new instrument cluster and climate controls came in, I installed them, and everything worked perfect, including the oil pressure gauge and tacometer he said worked fine… Which means the issues were in the devices he tried to fix multiple times and didn’t…. Unfortunately won’t be going back…

Hi Aron, I’m sorry you left disappointed, and I truly appreciate the chance you gave me to work on your Land Cruiser parts. I always try to be transparent with customers, and from the beginning I explained that these were over 20-year-old electronic boards with no available schematics, so diagnosis and repair would involve a lot of trial-and-error testing. I spent many hours troubleshooting and repairing the boards, and the charges were for the labor and time involved in attempting the repair. During the process, I found that both units had deeper internal failures, including bad microprocessors that are not realistically replaceable. I also showed you in person that the instrument cluster had additional issues with the rear flex cable, beyond the gauge itself. As for the odometer display, I was trying to address an intermittent issue I observed while testing. I understand your concern about the vehicle’s value and mileage display, and I never intended to create additional frustration. Unfortunately, with older electronics like these, repairs cannot always be guaranteed, especially when replacement parts and technical documentation no longer exist. That’s why I always explain beforehand that we can attempt the repair, but success is not guaranteed. I’m genuinely sorry the outcome was not what either of us hoped for, and I do appreciate your kind words about my customer service. I wish you the best with your Land Cruiser.

After taking my PS5 completely apart and attempting to clean the power supply, I ended up destroying my PS5 motherboard by screwing in two of the wrong sized screws in the power supply which caused a visible hole in the motherboard. When I tried to turn my PS5 on, there was no HDMI signal output. I thought my PS5 was destroyed but decided to try this shop due to the good reviews and the chance someone may fix it. When I took it to Tech Defense Micro Soldering Lab, Oktay the owner was able to diagnose problems in less than an hour after dropping off. He showed me through a picture taken in their lab, that I had chipped the HDMI output chip from the other wrong sized screw I screwed from the power supply. He was able to fix the short from the hole in the motherboard, solder on a new HDMI chip, and additionally also fixed one of my USB ports in less than 4 hours after dropping off my PS5. I was able to pick up the console that same day for $180 for a console I was sure was destroyed and needed to replace with a brand new $500+ system. This place is great, and I am very satisfied with their service!

Is the only service provider I could find in the San Diego area (of around a dozen contacted) to offer repairs for a Logitech Z906 5.1 Surround Sound system. Located in the Escondido Mall as 'Tech Defense'. Offered fair pricing, clear communication, and excellent work. Not only repaired the unit, also replaced cheap parts with more robust components. Highly recommended.
