Mint was absolutely wonderful in making our home spotless before we had an open house! Luis was a pleasure to talk with and was so helpful and personable! We would absolutely hire them again in a heartbeat!
Unfortunately, I felt like this service was overpriced and much more stressful than it needed to be.
We paid $488.99 for a move-in clean of our approximately 950 sq. ft. apartment, and only one cleaner was sent who stayed for about two hours. She was very nice and worked hard, but there were definitely areas that were missed. At the same time, I don't really blame her — one person cleaning an entire 950 sq. ft. apartment in two hours is only going to be able to accomplish so much. For nearly $500 (488.99), I expected a much more thorough move-in clean and was surprised by the amount of time and staffing allocated to the job.
Parking also became a major headache. I emailed the company the weekend before our appointment specifically to let them know that we live in Beacon Hill and the only options nearby were paid street parking or a garage. When the cleaner arrived, my husband ended up having to babysit the meter while she cleaned. When I called the company to ask how they usually handle parking, I was told that most of their clients have a private parking spot, so it isn't normally an issue. That was pretty surprising to hear for a company servicing Boston, especially Beacon Hill, and made me wonder how frequently they actually work in the neighborhood.
The cleaner herself was pleasant and did what she could in the time she was given, so my frustration isn't really with her. I just don't think the level of service we received came close to justifying a $488.99 price tag, and the logistics made an already stressful move more stressful than it needed to be.
