Felipe was awesome! I was a bit freaked out that I destroyed my engine after it ran out of oil the previous night and got stuck in limp mode. He was able to come out between appointments to reset the sensors and check the engine so I could get back on the road as quick as possible. Amazing and quick service from a kind person.

There’s definitely a language bar he does not speak any English. And then he charged me double to replace a battery in my car. He told me he paid $600 for the battery and then refuse to give me the receipt for the court deposit so I called every place in town that carries batteries and ask him how much they charge…

Mr. Ortiz was prompt when he said he would be there, he was thorough, he showed me the problem when diagnosing the truck, so there were no surprises. He went above and beyond my expectation of how mechanics usually are. I wasn't taken advantage of as a woman. When he was finished I asked if he could check one more thing and he did and FIXED it too!

Yesterday, we called Mr. Ortiz to help us with our 2015 Yukon Denali we weren't really sure what was wrong with it. That was his day off and he still answer the phone which I thought was wonderful I didn't mean to interrupt him with his family time but he was very kind and stated that he could help us tomorrow first thing in the morning after his first appointment. He asked me to text him tomorrow give him our address and he would call and give us a time that he would be there. First thing this morning he call to let us know that he was on his way and he'll be 30 minutes out he was on time he explained everything to us when he got here his prices were great. And gave us a couple options and let us make the choice. His diagnosis was correct and so we got our car fixed and up and running thanks to Mr Ortiz we're back on the road we are very grateful we recommend him to everybody I've had issues with other people and that's why I chose to call Mr Ortiz. Super wonderful man I'll use them again if anything ever happens...

I was having problems with my wrench and check engine light coming on.
Then my car started shaking really bad it sounded and felt like it was going to stall on me. I called a few mobile mechanics here in Medford. 1 mechanic gave me a quote of $925.00 parts & labor.
I also called two good auto repair shops in Medford and 1 gave me a quote of $1,100.00 parts & labor. The other gave me a quote of $1,350.00 parts & labor.
I called Mr. Ortiz explained what was going on. He gave me a quote of $590.00 parts & labor.
He came on Monday 8/3/2026 right on time at 9 am. It took him 1 hour and a half. He also put my car on his new diagnostics machine to check if anything else was wrong. I have 1 more coil & spark plug to change. All I have to say is this Mr. Ortiz know about cars.
He is professional, reliable, affordable, on time, quick to respond and very honest. He will be doing ALL of my work from now on.
If I could give him 10 stars, I would most definitely without a doubt.

I would give him 0 star, He is only interested in your money. Very poor diagnosis. I got P0524 code, I called this guy, he initially said he would charge $285 for oil change ( He brought oil and filter ) He told me he is going to use good quality oil thats why he is charging more. In that price he also promised that he will do diagnosis of P0524 code, which he did but absolutely wrong way. He removed the oil pressure valve and cleaned it and put it back since he could not find the new part in the area which is fine but it was not valve it was just oil pressure sensor. Any simple mechanic would first try to find oil pressure sensor not the valve its different thing. And Yes he took it back that new oil and filter with him and never changed. I thought he will charge me less since he said i dont need to have new oil and change because it was good. I was predicting he is trying to save my money by not having oil and filter because the issue is something else but guess what?? i was wrong. After he finished diagnosis told me it will be $300 ( he barely spent one hour ), I called him in regular hour not afterhours like midnight or early morning. I would strongly suggest please find another mechanic if you get stranded dont use his service. Money minded greedy person. Since i dont want to argue with him on that day i quitely paid $300, he just cleared the code with his scan tool but I thought he actually made fix but i was wrong, check engine light came back as soon as we hit mountain. I checked with other local shop in Redding CA and he was able to figure out actual issue, he did diagnosis and changed the oil pressure sensor very reasonable price and car was fixed. again dont go by his fake google reviews, think before anyone contact him. Has no shame getting your money.

My Land Rover LR3 broke down Sunday morning in Gold Hill, OR while on the 2nd leg of our drive to San Francisco. It was my newborn's first long drive and my wife and I also had our 2 dogs along with us - we were a bit stressed out to say the least. With it being Sunday, no auto shops are open. The local diner where we ordered food gave us a recommendation to call Felipe @ Ortiz Mobile Auto Repair, and thank god we did. Felipe and his wife came to our rescue. They were extremely friendly, professional yet personable, and got us on our way safely. I ended up needing a new starter which he had swapped out in about 2 hours time. The price was definitely fair, especially considering it was a Sunday afternoon/evening. Thank you so much for all of your help!!
