Courtney was fantastic! She is so comforting and reassuring. I know that we made the right choice driving all the way from Elberta to Mobile.

Great! I could see and hear my therapist very well. Stephanie Garard is the best therapist I have ever had. And I have been in therapy for about 30 years. I have had many Therapist and she surpasses all.

Valerie seemed to be very much in tune to what I was feeling. She understood what I was trying to say. I like the fact that she did not put my medicine. I look forward to talking to her again.

The staff members were very polite and professional. The questions that were asked were appropriate in relation to my mental health concerns.

A frustrating experience turned around by two exceptional employees. I arrived 30 minutes early for my 11-year-old daughter's first appointment at the Wellness Clinic, only to be told that her appointment had been canceled. According to the notes, the clinic had attempted to contact me ONE time by phone. No follow-up call, no text, no email, no additional attempt to reach me despite having my contact information. I cannot adequately express how upsetting this was. We had been waiting WEEKS for this appointment. My daughter has been struggling with some significant mental health challenges, and I have taken considerable time away from work to get her the evaluations and support she needs. To show up for a long-awaited appointment and be told it was canceled, with no immediate option to reschedule, was incredibly disheartening. And honestly, it raises a much bigger concern. This is a mental health facility. The people walking through those doors are often already struggling. Some may be in crisis. Canceling an appointment without making a reasonable effort to ensure the patient or family has actually received the message isn't just inconvenient. It can have serious consequences. Kim M.,at the front desk, could have simply apologized, told us to reschedule, and sent us on our way. Especially since the clinic was extremely busy and the next available appointment would have been quite some time away. But she didn't. Kim started making phone calls to therapists throughout the clinic, trying to find someone who could see my daughter. One after another, they were unable to accommodate us. But Kim kept trying. Her final call was to Martha Mitchell, who happened to have availability. And what an absolute blessing Martha turned out to be. Martha was wonderful with my daughter. At the end of our appointment, she explained that someone would review our intake paperwork and match my daughter with a therapist. When my daughter expressed that she wanted Martha to be her therapist, Martha didn't hesitate to go ahead and schedule her next appointment. We walked into that clinic feeling dismissed, frustrated, and defeated. We walked out feeling heard, supported, and hopeful. I hope the leadership at the Wellness Clinic recognizes just how fortunate they are to have employees like Kim M. and Martha Mitchell. Neither of these women was responsible for the communication failure that brought us to that point, but both took it upon themselves to make things right. I sincerely hope the clinic takes a hard look at its cancellation and patient notification procedures. Mental health care is too important for patients to fall through the cracks because of inadequate communication. But I also hope Kim and Martha receive the recognition they deserve. They turned what could have been an absolutely terrible experience into one that reminded me there are still people who genuinely care about the families they serve. Thank you, Kim and Martha. You made a much bigger difference today than you probably realize.
