Sara was absolutely amazing! Patent, kind and 100% professional! She is an amazing talent and went above and beyond altering my daughter’s wedding dress and my dress. We threw a couple curve balls her way with dress changes and time issues and she was so accommodating. Sara and her assistant were absolutely amazing! Totally recommend !

Worst experience ever trying to get clothes altered and repaired here, and Sara was quite rude when I picked up the last of my 2 dresses (shout out to Preston, however, as he was super nice). I’m not sure why she copped an attitude when I was beyond patient with mistakes that were entirely avoidable.
When I first brought my garments in, the lone employee there ignored us for ~10 minutes and later dragged one of my white dresses over a glitter-covered floor. I hoped for the best but was very uneasy, so texted Sara. She had us come back in, met with us personally, re-pinned the dress herself, and discussed the repairs I needed on the other dress. I was impressed and she seemed sweet, so I proceeded with having them do the work. Frankly, the main reasons I came here were the 5-star reviews and because the shop markets itself as doing quick turnarounds. I needed one of the dresses back by May 1st for a very important event and told the employee this on my first visit, but it didn't happen. I was deeply disappointed, but understood and made other arrangements until Sara could do the work.
On May 19th, I went back to get the “finished” dresses. One just needed the belt taken in and 9 fraying button loops replaced at the neck and sleeves. I brought elastic when I first dropped it off to be helpful, but was told they were going to do chain stitch repairs instead. I didn’t know what that was, but was horrified when I saw the results. The loops were messy, uneven, and not holding the buttons. They'd also done nothing to fix the sleeve loops. When asked about it, Sara admitted she hadn’t seen the sleeves, even though I'd directly pointed them out to her previously. She agreed to re-do all of the loops at no additional cost.
When I next picked up the dress, however, I discovered that she'd just sewn lengths of elastic ON TOP of the fabric in all three areas. When asked why the seams weren’t opened up and the loops sewn inside, Sara said "that wasn’t on the original order.” Do I seriously need to specify that the elastic should be sewn inside the seams so it's done properly? Isn't that just common sense? So now, each length of elastic is fully visible on top of the fabric. Not only is it an ugly, obvious rush job, but they're a functional problem since 2 rows of loops sticking up make it difficult to discern which loops align with which buttons. And they don't hold the buttons.
As for the other dress, it needed to be taken in quite a bit and had a small hole in the back. The hole repair and taking-in were done well (hence 2 stars instead of one) and I was initially happy with it until we noticed the pockets weren't put back in. Sara admitted it was a mistake on her part and agreed to re-insert them at no additional cost. When I went to get it, however, she told me she ended up making entirely new pockets out of different fabric because the original pockets were “too old” to re-insert. She also said they were the same size as the originals, but they definitely feel smaller.
Botton line is I really wish I'd gone elsewhere to get my dresses altered. Wedding and prom dresses are cIearly favored here and that bias, combined with sheer carelessness, led to important details about my dresses getting dropped. The vintage dress, in particular meant a lot because it was a dress my Mom (now deceased) bought for me and now it's a mess. I'm glad the other dress was taken in well and that it at least has pockets again, so thanks for that. I also appreciate that Sara was true to her word and didn't charge any additional.

We’re sorry you were dissatisfied with your experience. While we always strive to provide quality workmanship and professional service, Your Alterations reserves the right to refuse service when expectations become unreasonable or when repeated accommodations fail to resolve concerns.
As stated, appointments are requested so each client can receive our full attention. Walk-in clients may experience wait times while scheduled appointments are being served.
We take great care with every garment entrusted to us. As a working tailor shop during prom season, some glitter transfer can occasionally occur despite our standard practice of lint-rolling each garment before pickup.
When you initially brought in your items without an appointment, we communicated the expected turnaround time, which you agreed to. We reviewed your requested alterations with you at intake, and you confirmed the work order.
At pickup, no concerns were expressed. Afterward, when concerns were raised by text outside business hours, we made multiple efforts to accommodate your schedule and address each issue at no additional charge. Each time, adjustments were made carefully, in good faith, and for no additional cost to you.
At your final visit, you were asked to inspect the garment in person, and it was clearly communicated that this would be the final complimentary adjustment. The restoration choices were explained, and the garment was accepted without any further concerns being expressed at that time.
We stand behind our work, but there comes a point where continued complimentary revisions are no longer reasonable. At that stage, concluding the professional relationship was the appropriate decision.

Picked up my dress today and its perfect! We cut off the bottom into a waltz length so you can see my shoes and rose stockings some. Was originally going to do a tea length but that didnt feel right so we did it a little longer and I really couldn't be happier with it. It was also fitted in the straps and bust area so it hugs my body perfectly now. I can't wait to wear it for the Red dress symphony this year.
