My laptop wouldn't boot up after I dropped it. I walked in without an appointment, and 10 minutes later I had a working computer. Cost only came to $65. Much better outcome than I could have hoped for, this will definitely be my first stop for any computer repairs going forward

Since the repair i have had no issues with my laptop and its working like new. Staff went above and beyond to get my laptop repaired asap, very professional and kind people. Would go back if i ever needed another repair in a heartbeat. Even gave me the lower end of the price for the repair. 100% recommend this repair shop any day of the week. Review from Google · view on GoogleI chose 1201 Computer Repair because I loved how upfront they were about costs on their website and the transparency around turnaround times, procedure for additional costs/fees, and what services they provide. I came in with a desktop that I'd built that wasn't turning on anymore. I brought it in and Alan did some quick upfront diagnostics to see if anything was the issue that they could fix quickly, but the comp ended up staying a week. During intake, Alan was, again, upfront that having to test each part in the diagnostic process would likely put me in a more expensive tier for the service, and I said that was OK. Turns out the motherboard had failed, so Matt ordered and installed a new one with a one-year warranty. Some other very nifty things they did for my computer: got me a new fan that doesn't plug directly into the PSU so it isn't running at full blast all the time (hallelujah), installed ad blockers for my browsers, ran a check for malware and cleaned up any junk files on the system, and reapplied heat sink to my CPU and cooler. Basically, for all the stress I had about the issue, this was going above and beyond to not only repair my computer but make it run better than when I had first built it! All the props for them for all the hard work they've done. There's also a two week follow-up window for any possible lasting issues. Amazing service all around.
