Katie, we have reviewed your photos of damage (including the others you didn’t post in this review)and have determined that it was pre existing damage. The bite marks on your dresser drawer indicated to us that an animal (perhaps your cat) had chewed on it frequently. Also, your photos show damage to the dresser that isn’t “fresh” because of the darkened discoloration of the wood. This painted dresser had numerous pre existing damages (photographed and on record with our files) and damage did not occur from your short, 10 mile move. Unfortunately, Google does not allow us to post the other pictures in our reply. We pad wrap each and every piece of furniture prior to moving it and the crew verified that they had completed this task for your dresser. Would you state that the crew did not pad wrap this piece? This also verifies that the black smudge mark was pre-existing due to the dense furniture pad covering the entire surfaces of the item. We understand that you hoped to keep your move within our two hour minimum, but unfortunately the inventory was larger than you had previously stated and the stairs to the second floor apartment took more time than you hoped for. You called the days leading up to your move concerned about the time it would take you to sign paperwork for the apartment and to get the keys while the crew waited for you. This also increases your billed hours. Furthermore, there was clutter and debris at the loading location in an amount that prohibited the crew from working at their normal pace due to having to clear walkways for themselves and to remove items from the surfaces of furniture prior to wrapping it with pads and shrink wrap. We had spoken over the phone a couple times after your move and not once did you mention any performance issues of the crew (other than your claimed damage). In fact, you stated that the guys were great, quick and worked very hard. It’s odd that you would say otherwise in your review. We allow our crews short, 5 minute breaks for every two hours they work. We wish you the best of luck in your new home.
