I couldn't be more grateful and impressed! We had a diagnostic visit that helped us clear the drains responsible for flooding near our front door and the possible source of flooding in our kitchen. If you are looking to over pay and get scammed than this is the company for you. Warning, this is not the same Ballard from back in the day. That company was bought out. Decided to play dumb to see if this was a legit company to help out an older family member. I knew exactly what was wrong with the unit and knew it was an easy $50 fix. Was given a quote of thousands, thousands, thousands, thousands, thousands and thousands of dollars. Wow! Yall are wrong for trying to take advantage of old people. The service tech was professional and did everything according to training. I have no issue with the tech/sales associate. My issue is with the scam company that is tarnishing a good family name. Unfortunately this is the norm for these large companies. There is a thing called karma and it will come back around. If you are looking for a honest HVAC company, good luck and stay away from any that has over a 100 reviews. The worst part is another large company that came out gave me a $20,000 quote. Thank you for taking the time to share this, and I'm glad our technician was professional and respectful in your home. To clear up one point for you and anyone reading: Ballard has never been sold. We've been family-owned and operated since 1949, and I'm the fourth generation running it today. Protecting that name, especially for older customers, matters a great deal to me personally. I grew up watching my dad answer the phone at home to help customers, and I've watched our family's business grow from there to where we are today. We know a quote like that is hard to hear, especially when prices are up on everything. Over the last few years, the cost of everything it takes to run a service call has gone up sharply: equipment, parts, fuel, insurance, and fair wages for the skilled technicians we employ. We'd love to charge what we did six years ago, but doing that would mean cutting corners or underpaying our people, and we won't do either. What we can promise is transparent pricing and a choice of options before any work begins, from a simple repair to a brand-new system. If a repair option wasn't made clear on this visit, I want to know about it and make it right. Please call our office and ask for me directly so I can personally review this visit with you.
