Had a deep tissue massage with Stephanie. Really intense, almost painful, but what I needed. She also spent time with me afterwards talking about postural issues that she noticed and what might be helpful. She's great.

Gabrielle did my restoration facial. The experience was terrific. A great facial with head shoulder arm and hand massage. My skin was gleaming and I left floating on a cloud. It was a great birthday gift I enjoyed with my daughter.

I have been doing electrolysis for about a year now and was looking for a new technician. I struggle with PCOS/PMOS and have thick dark hair on my upper lip. I came in for my appointment and was asked by the technician to fill out a form. As I filled it out she peppered me with questions and then seemed annoyed I wasn’t filling out the form quick enough. She then lectured me about how I shouldn’t have used numbing cream. I apologized that my old place had told me to. Regardless she lectured me about how it was unhealthy I did it what was I thinking??? She then told me I had booked an hour which I said “no I booked 30 minutes”. She argued with me that I had booked an hour. Regardless, she did my upper lip in 15 minutes. She started without telling me, just turned my face and went for it. She left the light in my eyes the entire time while my other technician always offered an eye covering. After finishing she proceeded to tell me I’ve been shaving my face wrong and gave me a tutorial on how to shave a face. I told her that is what I’ve been doing and she insisted I used an electric razor, I told her I was not. She said that couldn’t be true because then where are my hair roots. Lady idk?? I’m not a scientist. After all this berating I was just about ready to go, but she then says to me she should do my chin. I said no thank you I came for upper lip which she replied “Well I can see it. There’s dark hair.” And tried to pester me into submission. I had never been self conscious about that area and felt uncomfortable. When I left she walked me to the front, looked at the receptionist and said “I will see her in two weeks. Fifteen minutes, no numbing cream.” The receptionist just started asking about dates felt like I couldn’t say no with the technician there so I booked the appointment and then cancelled it at home. I’m disappointed because of all the great reviews, but I just can’t see myself coming to this spa and paying for an expensive and invasive treatment with a technician I do not feel comfortable around. 2 stars for the fact that she did do the treatment and nothing went wrong with the actual hair removal.
