TLDR: Told me I would have a tech same day and called me last minute to tell me no one was coming, then wanted to me to schedule a tech for a time that was good for them but not for my family.
We’ve had a maintenance plan with cool care about 4 years. Besides some trouble scheduling the checks every 6 months, everything has been great. Today, when our AC stopped working, I called them at 2:10pm asking for someone to come to our home to take a look and they said someone would be there after 4pm. That was important because it is 85 degrees in our kids’ rooms and we needed the AC fixed so they could sleep comfortably. We were counting on Cool Care to find and fix this issue. Instead of getting the help we need, I was told at 5:52pm that no one was coming today. Oh, someone could come tomorrow because tomorrow works for Cool Care, but when my family needed them, they were no where to be found.
Regarding the owner’s response, the first intelligible words I heard Debbie say were, “Since it looks like we can’t get someone there tonight…” Please, check the recording. In fact, feel free to post it online. I’d love for everyone to hear it. To be clear, Debbie was very nice. My issue isn’t with her. If she initially said someone could come out, I missed it because I was finishing a work call, which I explained to her. When I asked her to repeat herself, she told me no one could come that night. What I find more interesting is the very next company I called had a technician at my house in less than 15 minutes. Not the next day. Not the next available appointment. Fifteen. Minutes. And the best part? I haven’t spent the last four years paying them for a maintenance plan like I have with you. Apparently, the secret to getting prompt service is to call a company I haven’t been paying for years. Four years of loyalty bought me an excuse. Fifteen minutes with a competitor bought me a solution. But by all means, let’s debate what Debbie said. It’s certainly easier than explaining why a complete stranger could deliver the service your paying customer couldn’t get.

John, We sincerely apologize that we were not able to get out to you yesterday afternoon. When you called at 2pm, the hopes were that we would be able to come take a look. But, the calls that were already on the schedule from customers that had called earlier in the day took longer than we anticipated. And just to clarify, when we called at 5:45, we gave you the option of either coming last night around 7:30 or coming out this morning.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Service, Integrity, and Commitment to Getting It Right!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Cool Care HVAC! We recently had our HVAC system replaced, and I was incredibly impressed with their professionalism, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to making sure everything was done correctly.
What impressed me most was not that the installation went perfectly from start to finish—it didn’t. It was how the Cool Care team handled every challenge that arose. When a brand-new blower motor failed almost immediately after installation, they promptly replaced it with another brand-new motor. Our installation also required a crane to safely remove the old condenser from an elevated platform adjacent to our attic and install the new unit. Cool Care handled the rental and coordination of the crane, making a complicated process seamless for us.
They even arranged for a city inspector to independently verify the quality of their work. When the inspection identified a few minor items, they addressed them without hesitation. That level of accountability and attention to detail speaks volumes about the integrity of this company.
Throughout the entire process, the team worked tirelessly to ensure our new system was operating exactly as it should. They never cut corners, never made excuses, and never treated a problem as someone else’s responsibility. They simply kept working until everything was right.
And the results have been fantastic! Our home has never been more comfortable. The new system manages Houston’s humidity beautifully and maintains incredibly precise temperature control. The difference in our home’s comfort is remarkable.
Replacing an HVAC system is a major investment, and what matters most is knowing that the company standing behind that investment will do whatever it takes to get the job done right. Cool Care HVAC absolutely delivered.
I am genuinely grateful for the care, effort, and dedication they put into our installation. I would recommend Cool Care HVAC without hesitation to anyone in Houston looking for a company that truly stands behind its work.
