We had a wonderful experience working with Susan and Grace! Both therapists were incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. I always felt confident that my children were in good hands and truly cared for. Susan and Grace went above and beyond by taking the time to create supplemental materials and activities for us to incorporate into our son's routine at home. They were also very responsive, communicative, and collaborative, which was especially appreciated as our son worked with multiple therapists across different areas. Their teamwork and dedication made such a positive difference in his progress and our overall experience. We are so grateful for the care, support, and expertise they provided, and we will truly miss working with them. We couldn't recommend them more highly to other families!

I’m very confused why this company is advertised as an organization that helps delayed or disabled children. My son is an infant that is medically fragile, we chose them to help and support his development (over lurie’s and we regret it) but instead they requested to remove my child from their care and their reasoning is that they don’t have the expertise for an infant that is medically fragile despite their mission statement saying they can support babies with special needs. I don’t recommend this company if you have a medically fragile infant. My son has a wonderful medical team and we were all very surprised that a company that is supposed to care for special needs babies pulled something like this.
Hi Angelica, I’m sorry to hear about your frustration. Crossroads participates in Illinois Early Intervention, and our ability to accept referrals depends on service area, therapist availability, and the clinical expertise required. We aim to be transparent about these limitations so families can connect with an appropriate provider. Our ability to support medically complex infants depends on the availability of therapists with the appropriate specialized expertise in the family’s area. Protecting privacy prevents us from discussing individual circumstances publicly. Please contact us directly so we can address your concerns privately. Wishing you and your family all the best.

We had such a wonderful experience with Susan as our son’s occupational therapist. She worked with him from ages 2–3, and we truly could not have asked for someone more patient, loving, and encouraging. Our son absolutely adored Susan and always looked forward to seeing her. She had such a special way of connecting with him while also gently challenging him and helping him grow. She was endlessly patient and kind, and it was so clear how much she genuinely cared about him. One of the things I appreciated most was how much Susan helped me as a parent, too. She took the time to explain what she was working on, gave me practical ideas I could use at home, and helped me better understand how to support my son. I really felt like a better, more confident mom because of what I learned from her. We loved Susan so much that during the summer, she stayed to work with both of our boys, including our 5-year-old. He quickly grew to love her just as much, and we were amazed by how much he learned and grew during their time together. Susan is one of those rare people who is both incredibly skilled at what she does and genuinely loving toward the children and families she works with. She made such a positive difference for our family, and we feel incredibly fortunate that both of our boys had the opportunity to work with her. I cannot recommend Susan highly enough.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words! It was truly such a joy to work with both of your boys. I feel so fortunate to have been part of their journey and to have gotten to know your family. Watching them grow and seeing their confidence develop was incredibly rewarding. I’m so grateful for your trust and support!

My daughter's occupational therapist, Susan Carman, at Crossroads has been such an integral part of her success this past year while attending preschool in a Montessori school setting. Our daughter grew tremendously over the course of the year in emotional self regulation, independence, and self advocacy skills, all thanks to all the support and guidance Susan gave her. Susan came into the Montessori school 1/week and was able to observe and support her in real time. Every week Susan would send us an update on her progress as well as many useful resources and suggestions for implementation at home. Along with being incredible at her job, Susan is kind, thoughtful, communicative, and full of creative ideas to make the learning fun for my daughter. I would highly recommend Crossroads to anyone and everyone!
Thank you so much for sharing this! We are so grateful to have Susan on our team and love hearing about the incredible growth your daughter has made this year. It means so much that you trusted Crossroads to be part of her journey. Thank you for your kind words and recommendation!
Both my boys saw Grace for speech therapy. She was amazing! So patient, warm, engaging and always worked with my boys high energy levels to keep them focused and having fun while being able to learn! She was really amzing at meeting them where they are at and doing whatever she can to make it fun. They both always looked forward to seeing Grace! We will never take for granted hearing our boys tell us stories, their funny ideas and hearing their amazing questions. After being with us for 2.5 yesrs we will miss Grace so much!! Cannot reccomend her enough!

We absolutely adore Jaime! She worked with our son for about 6 months and his speech grew leaps and bounds with her. He would stand at the door and wait for her each week! We feel very thankful to have had her work with our son.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We are thrilled to hear about the incredible progress your son made while working with Jaime. Knowing that he looked forward to seeing her each week is the highest compliment and truly speaks to the special bond they built together. We're so grateful you trusted Crossroads to be part of your family's journey, and we'll be sure to share your thoughtful feedback with Jaime.
