We are thrilled with our experience and end results after working with Custom Automation Technologies. Great communication from Dan every step of the way. He came out for an initial visit to see our space and take some measurements. All we had to do was communicate what we were looking for and the budget we had in mind and Dan went to work. He ordered all the equipment and got us on the schedule as soon as we were ready. Dan and his assistant, Jordan, came out on a Monday morning and got the entire job done in one day. Projector screen assembled and mounted, projector mounted and properly aligned, 7.1 surround sound speakers installed in the wall, and everything tuned up looking and sounding great and all controllable with one universal remote. The family is loving the new setup in our basement. Really glad we found them online and had them do the job. If you’re thinking about hiring anybody to do any audio/visual/home theater/security work, no need to look elsewhere, just call Dan at Custom Automation Technologies.

Dan was amazing to work with! I called on a Sunday, and he ended up coming out a few hours later. It pays to work with a local company who provides exceptional customer service and responds in a timely fashion. I called Dan another time for advice on how to setup speakers with our record player, and he took the time to research and give me ideas. I wouldn’t work with anyone else! Highly recommend!
When I decided to upgrade my 20+ year old home theater, after looking into several companies, I reached out to Custom Automation Technologies and connected with Dan Hoehnen. I wanted to replace all the outdated equipment, including the old AVR, projector screen, cable box, DVD player, and old wiring (which had no HDMI support) and simplify it by relying on a Roku for streaming and a new AVR as well as wireless transmission to the projector (kind of cutting the wires). Dan is a true expert in theater rooms (infrastructure, equipment, and operation). He was methodical, highly responsive, and meticulous in implementing the changes. He listened to my requirements and ideas, and provided me with several options and pricing to achieve my goals and patiently worked with me to make an informed decision. Throughout the process, Dan was transparent about pricing and installation timelines, ensuring that I always knew what to expect. Thanks to Jordan who did all the infrastructure work and connecting the equipments, now we stream movies and shows through Roku, wirelessly transmit them to a receiver connected to the projector, and enjoy them on our new screen! Everything works seamlessly, and we couldn't be happier. When I have future audio/visual needs, Dan will be the first person I will contact without any hesitation.
Dan has been doing work for me for several years. He is very responsive to my requests and is very quick with completing the work.
