I have been taking my dog Leo to Cutie Pie Pets for about four years. During that time, Leo has experienced several minor cuts and nicks during grooming, as well as two particularly bad haircuts. Each time, I brought my concerns to the owner’s attention politely and simply asked that they please be more careful with Leo during future appointments. I never intended to insult anyone or create conflict—I was simply communicating concerns about my dog’s care as a long-time customer.
Leo’s most recent grooming appointment was last Friday, and unfortunately, I noticed another cut/nick as well as concerns with his haircut. I contacted the owner and shared my concerns, along with photos, because I believe it is reasonable for a pet owner to speak up when something is not right.
What disappointed me most was the response I received. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, the owner told me that I had insulted him and his staff and that it was time for me to find another groomer. After being a customer for four years, I found that response extremely disrespectful and upsetting.
I have never expected perfection, but I do expect my concerns about my pet’s safety and grooming to be taken seriously. I believe customers should be able to respectfully point out problems without being made to feel unwelcome or as though they should remain quiet.
I am including photos of Leo’s previous bad haircuts and the most recent cut/nick so that others can see exactly what I am referring to. I am sharing my experience because I believe potential customers deserve to make an informed decision about where they trust their pets to be groomed.
After four years, I am very disappointed that this is how the relationship with the business ended. I would have preferred a professional conversation and a willingness to address my concerns rather than being told to find another groomer.

We did not put your wife's email in your profile and we also covered for you and played dumb when your wife called back. Sorry you found our communication attempts to be annoying. Unfortunately we do require a few things like certain vaccines to keep all our pups safe, and we do ask you to confirm your appointment as it approaches to avoid a no show fee. If you confirm, you won't get another text about it. If you are extremely rude and irrational in our lobby, we will cancel your appointment and stop trying to help you as you experienced. This place is great! I’m new to the area and they have done an excellent job with my two mini-schnauzers. I don’t think they’ve ever smelled as good as they do when coming home after getting baths here! They are amazing with speciality breed haircuts and provide very speedy service. Booking is super easy online. Can’t recommend enough!
