Edgewood Animal Shelter at a glance
Reviewers describe the staff as friendly and helpful, noting a clean facility and a straightforward adoption process that includes providing food and toys. However, recurring criticism in low-star reviews highlights significant communication failures, specifically unreturned phone calls and delayed responses regarding stray animal reports or adoption appointments. These issues with accessibility and scheduling contrast with the positive experiences of in-person visitors who found the service efficient and the animals well-cared for.

I adopted a beautiful puppy from here. But ended up having to make 3 trips over 5 days because every time I went to pick him up, the lady would wait til that day to tell me it would be a different day. Then another different day. Very aggravating. And she was a smart mouth

Super nice staff. Helpful and easy to adopt. They just want to make sure their animals are taken care of. They have .a pile of toys you can take for your new best friend.they bring out one dog or cat at a time so it's much less overwhelming than walking through rows and rows of animals that want your attention.
