My flooring review: I cannot recommend this company based on our experience. We hired them to refinish our hardwood floors, but the entire process turned into a stressful and expensive ordeal. The original finish was done improperly, which caused major issues with the floors. Instead of standing behind their work and making things right from the beginning, we were left dealing with repeated problems and a great deal of frustration. When the floors had to be redone, our family was displaced from our home for days. We had to find somewhere else to stay, board our animals, spend extra money on gas, and completely rearrange our lives. This wasn’t just an inconvenience—it created significant financial and emotional stress. Communication throughout the process was disappointing. We often felt like our concerns were minimized instead of taken seriously, and getting clear answers was difficult. What should have been a straightforward flooring project became months of stress, uncertainty, and additional expenses. Everyone can make mistakes, but good customer service is measured by how a company handles those mistakes. Unfortunately, we did not feel supported or valued as customers. We were left with the consequences while trying to fight for a proper resolution. If you’re considering hiring this company, I would encourage you to carefully research your options and make sure you understand exactly how warranty claims and workmanship issues will be handled if something goes wrong. I wish our experience had been different, but based on what we went through, I would not use this company again or recommend them.
Floor Coverings International
Floor Coverings International at a glance
Customers frequently praise the store for responsive communication, accurate measurements, and efficient installation of carpet, hardwood, and luxury vinyl plank. Many note that crews arrived on time, completed projects faster than expected, and maintained a clean workspace. However, several low-star reviews report significant issues with hardwood refinishing quality, including machine spots and premature wear. Additional criticisms involve unauthorized price increases, omitted costs like adhesive, and property damage to walls and trim during installation.

Janna was the best. She came in, made the calculations quickly and correctly. Being a former contractor myself, I knew the square footage. A different group came in before her and was 15 sq. Ft. Off. Janna was also very friendly and helpful.
The team did a beautiful job installing vinyl flooring in our kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom! The project was expected to take two days and they were done in one! Janna made the process smooth from start to finish. We would choose Floor Coverings International again.
They refinished our floors now our floors are coming up less than a year. Three flooring company's have said there alot of machine spots around that area.
So far so good the floors haven't been installed yet so I'll update but working with the rep Janna has been smooth
Janna was awesome throughout the entire process. Very flexible and communicated efficiently. The work that was done far exceeded our expectations and we are so happy we went with this business. Our stairs and floors look awesome.
Very professional! I had a challenging project, and they came in and did an excellent job on our bathroom floor! I highly recommend Floor Coverings International!

We had our living room, kitchen, and our master bedroom changed from poorly laid solid wood floors and carpet to glue down LVP (Luxury Vinyl Planking) by Karndean. Janna was our representative from the Floor Coverings International. She did a great job of providing samples and advising us what wear thickness we would need that would stand up to my wife's wheelchair. She was there to answer our questions, even after hours. The crew that installed our floors Diego and Frank (They did a great job) completed the job in 3 days. Ripping out the old wood floor and carpet, and installing the glue down LPV. They moved the furniture and things that were already in the room to other areas with care. Then replaced where we wanted them. This included helping me to install felt pads under furniture to help protect the floor. I am very satisfied with the way things turned out. I would recommend them to help with your project.

Working with Floor Coverings International was a great experience from start to finish. Jana was super responsive—she got back to me quickly and had a quote ready in no time. The whole process felt easy and low-stress, which I really appreciated. The new carpet looks amazing, and the team got everything installed faster than I expected. The pricing was fair and reasonable, and there were no surprises. I’m really happy with how it all turned out and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality flooring and great service.
