Fred’s Appliance Repair cleaned and fixed my GE Dryer. The technician was helpful and showed me a plastic piece on my dryer that was cracked.
I just had the worst experience with Fred’s Appliance Repair. They lacked communication (I had to reach out multiple times) to receive any kind of update, they did not keep us up to date on the arrival of our dryer part, they said they would give us a discount for the trouble & never followed through. A one day repair turned into not having a working dryer for almost two weeks.

We had an appointment with this Co. Supposed to arrive this morning. Gabil even text and said he was on his way. Then the next thing we receive a text from the office telling us before technician comes he's going to stop and purchase an Odor Eliminator or else we wont get rid of the smell from our washer. #1 how can you diagnose an issue on your way to my home. You have never been here. #2 how much are you spending on the Odor Eliminator before you get here, & then charge me for it? Nooo way. Not good business practice. We cancelled and will call someone else. I cannot give this company 5 stars.

This vendor and reviews are a scam! They showed up on a Saturday night to do a repair; They spoke no English - they used a phone to translate. They did not ask what the problem was - just looked at the washer and decided the worst case scenario. They quoted a price above the suggested range for that repair. They said they'd return Sunday - there was a conflict with another repair person who showed up halfway through the first repair. They spoke Russian. They did not agree on what they were telling us. After much discussion, they said they'd return on Sunday at 10. Before they left, I asked to get my laundry out, as it was in wet, dirty water. They couldn't get it out, as the machine was locked and couldn't be opened because they removed the motor!!! My entire load has sat in dirty water since Saturday.
On Sunday, they didn't show till 11. After putting the expensive part in, the washer still did not work. The exact error code showed - instead of starting with the easiest fix, they chose the expensive fix. The expensive part was never broken - it was the cheapest part. They THEN requested we pay them as a "deposit" of $215 and said they'd return on Monday at 4. Their diagnostic price was supposed to be $79 if they didn't do the repair.
At 430 on Monday I called again as they didn't show - we weren't scheduled, they had no idea what I was talking about. They now won't answer their phone.
