Once again Lamanna Moving did not disappoint. Great communication with Steve. He also came to the apartment to check on how things were going and called me after the move to make sure everything was fine. This was a 4 man crew, Frank, Jason, Andrew and Eric. Each one of these guys were terrific. They were very careful with all of my belongings and furniture. All professional and personable guys. My roll top desk was missing some screws and Andrew was kind enough to put some in. I had a full packing service job and each one took a room and carefully packed my stuff up. When I opened the boxes I was very impressed how they all took great care when wrapping everything up. This is the kind of service I have always experienced when using this company. Thank you all for getting me through this long day

I'd heard good things about Lamanna Moving, and boy, were they all true. I never thought I'd be so pleased with movers, but the team of Frank, Jason, Andrew, Eric, and of course, Steve have to be the best you can hire. They worked impressively well together coordinating larger and delicate items and were incredibly careful with our belongings AND both of the houses (no banging doorways or gouging the floors). They were fast and efficient so that the total charge was less than estimated. On top of that, they were friendly and pleasant to chat with here and there. As exhausting as moving is, we count ourselves lucky to have found Lamanna because they actually provided relief instead of adding to the stress. We're so grateful for the positive experience!

Most people find Lamanna by “word of mouth” on a Reddit search (namely, the Albany NY subreddit), and they deserve all the good reviews found on there. We went with Lamanna’s for a second time having used them a few years ago for an inter-Albany move. This move involved a giant apartment of stuff for a move a few hours away. Steve and the team were supposed to come on a nice week day, but the Albany weather had different plans for us unfortunately. What was predicted to be a mild drizzle ended up being a historic down pour, flooding out multiple roads in Albany County as well as poor Steve himself. His workers were extremely eager to work, but Steve was stranded, and one simply cannot move 100+ boxes with a canoe, and I’m pretty sure barges don’t fit on the on-ramp to I-87.
Steve made the unfortunate decision to postpone the move, stating that while his team was ready to move, there was a risk that the truck and my entire apartment’s worth of stuff could be stranded due to closed roads and worsening flooding. He offered something pretty spectacular - doing a Sunday move, even if it meant paying a premium rate to the rest of his team. Notably, he did not pass this cost on to me, the customer. And so come Sunday, his team showed up early to get a head start on the move. They were in and out of the 1000sqft+ apartment in only a few hours, making sure that everything was wrapped and protected nicely (I did the packing myself), and making sure that the apartment itself was also protected from potential moving damages.
The moving truck arrived right on time, and the moving team were extremely personable, cracking jokes with us, yet still efficient. We were able to get our furniture placed exactly how we wanted, and even going back and forth with positioning, the team was very patient with us.
I know that there are a lot of reviews on how professional they are with moving, how safe they handle valuable possessions, and how efficient (yet friendly) they are, but I just wanted to comment on my notable experience with them. I’ve never had a company go this much beyond for me before due to the flooding (which is not even their fault). They sacrificed a day of rest and family time to help me move so I wouldn’t be stranded, and for that I am grateful. Oh also the final price ended up being a little cheaper than the quote. So when you need moving in Albany to wherever, Lamanna should be your only choice. You need to book them early because everyone knows that they are the best and so they’re booked up.
