Dr. Leah is the best vet I’ve ever been to. We have been seeing her for a decade, at this point, for our fur family. It has been years in the making for her and Dr. Minturn to open their own place.
I am so relieved to have their facility as an option, to see their vision manifest in a place that is really focused on trying to create a safe and easy place for animals to come when they are (often) having their worst days.
I also have always appreciated how fast Dr. Leah is to speak to her patient first, engage with them and act. Her focus on taking care of her patient first has always struck me, when I have watched other vets take more time to talk to the humans, at times while the animal is hurting.
We have had 2 different emergencies, when our dog was in a great deal of pain. Each time she has been very focused on caring for our pet in that moment, getting pain treated and then more of the history discussed.
Her clinical judgment, her compassion and caring has always impressed me. I feel safe bringing my loved ones to her, especially when navigating big and scary things.
The last piece is our dog loves Leah. Our dog is not scared to go to the vet and she’s had 2 significant procedures (fox tail removal/ abdominal surgery for bowel obstruction) - in fact I think she remembers Leah has been the person who was able to help her when she was in a great deal of pain.
The staff they have brought with them into this endeavor clearly exhibit the same integrity and care.
So glad they are creating an amazing space for us to go to.

It is hard to find the words to express the gratitude I have for Dr. Leah Isaacson and the SACC team. Just this week she may have saved our fur baby Estrella’s life with an emergency surgery to remove a sock that she unfortunately ate and was looking really unwell from. In our moment of fear Dr. Isaacson was kind, reassuring, and capable. I look at our dog recovering next to me now, and am touched by the fragility of life, and how precious it is that we have such a skilled healer like Dr. Isaacson in our neighborhood.
Years earlier, before SACC, she touched our heart as she helped guide our old girl, Nova, over the rainbow bridge in the comfort of our home in a similarly loving and dignified way. We followed her around the bay area until she eventually was able to open SACC. When I walk inside I can see the level of care that went into every detail of how it is designed, truly an extension of the person and team that bring a wholeness to their service that is awe inspiring. We are fur-ever grateful 💞.
