I’ve had such a great experience working with Janiece! I’ve met with her twice so far, and each consultation has been incredibly helpful and productive. During our first meeting, Janiece took the time to understand my style and what I wanted my home to feel like. We discussed the overall design direction, furniture placement, and how to make the space feel more cohesive and intentional. For our second meeting, she took everything we had discussed and turned it into a clear vision for the space. She came prepared with sofa fabric swatches and color samples for the fireplace, as well as a visual that helped me actually see how everything could come together. She also provided links to specific pieces I could purchase. What I especially appreciated was how collaborative the process felt. During our meeting, we looked at different options together and made selections that worked with both the overall vision and my budget. I never felt like I was simply being told what to buy. Janiece helped me understand how the different choices worked together while still making the space feel like my home. I originally wanted professional guidance to help me make confident design decisions without having to completely start over, and Janiece has been exactly what I was looking for. She has a wonderful eye, is thoughtful about the details, and has made the entire process feel manageable and exciting. I’m so happy with the direction my home is going and would absolutely recommend working with her!

Working with Velène Design House was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The first project we worked on together was truly transformational—not only for my home, but for me as well. When I first reached out to Janiece, I was on a mission to update my 20-year-old home. The thought of figuring out where to begin on my own felt overwhelming, and I was completely stuck. During our first conversation, I was scattered and unsure of what I wanted. Somehow, Janiece was able to read between the chaos. She listened carefully, understood my vision even when I couldn't fully articulate it, and created a plan that exceeded every expectation. When she presented her design, I was absolutely blown away. Her attention to detail, precision, and presentation were exceptional. From there, we brought the vision to life, and working with Janiece was an absolute pleasure. She communicated clearly, followed through consistently, and demonstrated the highest level of professionalism throughout the entire process. The finished result was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. For our second project, Janiece and her team helped me design a vacation home. Once again, they exceeded every expectation. Walking into that home is breathtaking every single time we arrive. It feels like a true retreat, and every detail reflects thoughtful, intentional design. I wholeheartedly recommend Janiece and the Velène Design House team for any project, whether large or small. Their impeccable work ethic, creativity, attention to detail, and reliability truly set them apart. I am so grateful I found Velène Design House and know I'll be a client for years to come. Thank you, Janiece and the entire team, for creating spaces that have brought so much beauty and joy into my life!

We interviewed several interior designers and she was by far the best option. For starters, she really listened to us and our needs rather than forcing her own ideas and opinions into our project. She was great to work with throughout the whole process and always had our back when conflicts between us and vendors or workers arose. She was there for the entire renovation and new construction of our ADU so we always felt supported and could ask her anything. Lots of energy and drive to do a great job. She made lots of renderings for us to help us see ahead of time how our designs would look which was really helpful. She speaks spanish fluently so she could actually direct the workers when they were here and could help communicate as questions arose from the workers. And lastly she truly was very nice, patient, and we could see how much she cares about doing her job really well. I have been recommending her to friends and family and I do so here.

I would say design is simple yet beautiful. I especially liked how much natural light comes into the house it makes the whole place feel fresh and welcoming. Thanks Velene Design House

We held off our home remodel for many years afraid of the budget, design, and anticipated inconvenience of the project. Janiece guided us through the process from start to finish and made it so easy. She adapted to a shift in design, was mindful of our budget, and honored our preferences-while at the same time encouraged us to safely venture outside of our comfort zone. We love how she has transformed a house into our home and would immediately hire her and Jennie again. We are so grateful for all of their hard work and the relationship we have built in the process. Thank you Velène Design House!

We worked with Janiece at Veléne on the design for our main bathroom remodel and couldn’t be happier. She’s professional, organized, and an excellent communicator who really listened to our goal of blending mid-century style with our home’s Spanish Revival details. Janiece was confident, collaborative, and excited about our ideas, always finding ways to elevate them. The final design package is incredibly detailed and gives us full confidence moving into the build phase. She’s a talented and impressive designer, and we’d highly recommend Veléne to anyone looking for a thoughtful, well-executed design experience.
