We’re coming up on our one year living in our Brighton home in Arbor, and the warranty experience has not been a great one. We had some pretty major floor creaks in the upstairs master that was caused by a loose hanger for the floor truss. Getting that repaired wasn’t too much of an issue, but they made it seem like they were doing us a favor rather than owning that there was a fault.
Some drywall was damaged during the repair (not a big deal), but it has taken a month of back and forth with warranty to get the drywallers scheduled. I finally had to google the drywaller and call them directly because we are having the house painted over the weekend. The drywaller who did the original work couldn’t fit us in this week, so Jordan with BH warranty called and scheduled a different company. I informed him that I had marked a few other spots where there were excessive screw pops that needed to be addressed, and he confirmed. When the drywaller came, he said he was only told to do the damaged area and not the touch ups. I’m now trying to get a hold of someone in the warranty dept, but that’s proven very difficult. 3 stars because they build a beautiful community and Charles the sales guy is a great dude, but warranty is a bit rough.

Charles Jeffus made our Brighton Homes purchase seamless. He and Brighton Homes were so patient while our other home took an extra long time to close. They were so patient and understanding. We are truly grateful for them. In Arbor there are beautifully landscaped walking paths behind a lot of the homes making the backyards feel extra spacious. Every day I look around and feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful home in such a phenomenally landscaped subdivision.

I’m writing to update my review because the warranty is truly disappointing. They’ve been repeatedly pushing my landscape request despite it’s still in warranty. No one has come to replace my plants yet. They’ve been dead for a while now, and the warranty administrator kept finding excuses.
Thanks Cheryl Jensen and McKenna Fusselman, you were a lifesaver! I finally got my lovely house in Brighton! There was a hiccup, someone forgot to change my garage passcode after the house closing. Cheryl picked up my call even after work and, with McKenna’s prompt help, I managed to open my garage door.

Drywall crack in ceiling on original punch list, and I am still dealing with repairs a year later. Will update this post if I ever get the issues resolved.
Update: 4/28/26 after 5 repairs in the home and garage the cracks have finally been repaired and are currently holding as of this date. Don’t forget to look up at your ceiling when you do your walk through, most valuable piece of advice I can give you. My neighbor did not have this one her original punch list and they would not fix it.
