Christopher Cerrito is a great guy and gave me a great deal for a fireplace upgrade, two chimney crowns, and tuck-pointing. And the men who did the masonry work (Manuel and his son Christopher) were also very nice - they did really good work, cleaned up, and were very pleasant.

I’m hopeful the deal with go through for them and we will be able to get Chris and his team out there to do the work! I will also be calling Chris to take a look at my own chimney in the near future!

Wayte, This was a very big project, as we knocked everything off your masonry wish list. You guys were an absolute pleasure to work for very memorable experience. You forgot to mention that I threw in some glass block windows to surprise you guys at the end you are not expecting, that's how we do it over here at skyline. Above and beyond!!!

Review from Google · view on GoogleI have an old brick chimney. The old damper works but is jammed by a fallen piece of debris. Really just wanted my chimney cleaned out and the piece of debris removed. Was quoted $2,800 to do everything but clean the chimney. When I declined these expensive upgrades (confirmed by second opinion are not needed on my chimney, and which were quoted without even getting on top of my roof to inspect the flute, or looking at my damper) I was told a routine cleaning would not be an option as it would jeopardize the inspector's license, and my chimney does not need to be cleaned since it's "never been used." From my understanding, that is simply not true, and so I'm left wondering why I'm being aggressively sold an expensive quote instead of providing the services I requested. Will not be moving forward with this company. Edit: be incredibly wary of the defensive, dishonest replies. My chimney is not broken. I have since gotten a second opinion that confirmed my suspicions about a dishonest quote. Not to mention, inspector did not even look up into my chimney. Also made claims about how my furnace exhaust is directed though my chimney, which is not even true, and i had to correct him on that after his "thorough inspection." Stood in my living room for about 5 mins, looked at my chimney from the sidewalk, $2800 quote to do everything but what actually needs to be done on this. Got a licensed professional coming over to do the job for $300 now.

My job is to keep you safe. The inspection was free and when I looked inside the firebox its was not gonna be safe the way it was. I was not gonna charge you to clean a broken chimney. As far as the outside we'll that was also an issue thats why I qouted you a very fair and honest price to get you going safely and you declined.... Sorry we couldn't make your chimney/fireplace dreams come true as we do for so many. I did post pictures of your broken bricks not that I did it in vain but to protect our company.

The recent work managed and completed by Skyline was one of the most pleasant and simple projects of them all. I had a few estimates done for the work on my chimney and fireplace and I was not satisfied with the communication, or the thoroughness and details surrounding the quotes from any of them. Chris estimated the work, explained it all very well, and his quotes were complete, detailed, and gave me the confidence that the work would be complete as well, with no add-ons. The chimney work was completed in a day by his team and they were friendly, cleaned up, and unobtrusive. Chris completed the interior work on our fireplace himself and really was quite efficient. We are thoroughly enjoying our now working gas fireplace, in beautiful condition, and our repaired chimney with new caps and restored brick and concrete, our new porch step, and our peace of mind for the longer term. I highly recommend Skyline Chimney and Masonry and I don't give high recommendations lightly.

My original inspection/sweep was scheduled for 10:30am Sep 15th however Chris showed up at 11:20am and told me he wouldn’t be able to do the sweep due to having only 1 brush available across the entire company. I work in the trades too so I can understand. We were rescheduled for our chimney cleaning today at 10:30am. I texted at 10:31am asking if they were still coming and Chris mentioned it was this Friday. I sent over a screenshot of the original confirmation he sent me which specifically said today at 10:30am. Best not to spend your energy or more importantly your time with a company when the basics are overlooked.

I spoke to you and your wife about different services we provide thats the price difference.........we do offer different price Points for different services.........So I did a free inspection for you and that deemed you indeed need a chimney cleaning. So we set the date for the chimney cleaning. When I set the cleaning date I did make a mistake with the that and I do apologize i will own that. We are willing to do the cleaning free of charge for your troubles.
